I just got 6 coins from you yesterday They were advertised with only the date and grade There were no descriptions There were no pictures I was very happy with the coins when they came Five of the six were flawless and fantastic The sixth coin had a small spot in an inconspicuous place The price I was charged for the sixth coin was such a bargain, that I was happy with the condition The other five, though, WoW! Thanks, Rick & Crew Comment from : @donaldinnewmexico |

I'm new, the grading process, and the different levels and "impact" it has on the coins value it seems graders can make you or break you It reminds me of the N F L referees in the last 2 minutes of a game you know those "judgement calls" Its scarry to have to count on a good grade, and to know the graders themselves are not consistent different graders have different characteristics they are known for shouldn't the grading be across the board? Shouldnt all grading companies be the same, using the same standards? Comment from : @keithsparling5537 |

You deal in high-end coins & I get that I'll get there one day (baby stepping) My question is there any significance/value to a penny that's missing the "FG" on the reverse? Thanking you in advance & appreciating your videos😀 Comment from : @lmercan4809 |

If possible I would like to get your opinion on something I have a 2005 PCGS MS 69 1/10 ounce gold Eagle It has quite a bit of rust on it inside the slab My being of the opinion that gold is gold in any form and worth about the same price So I would like your opinion is it worth taking it out of the slab and cleaning it and making the rust disappear with the aluminum foil, hot water and baking soda? I’ve seen this method done and it works quite well Or would you just leave it in the slab with the rust and just say it is what it is still gold and that’s the nature of the beast Is it worth taking it out of the slab? Thanks, Terry Comment from : @terrypresna3941 |

So glad that you made this video I have had this argument with many people over the years So many uninformed buyers /investors believe that a MS70 grade is the best of the best They never take into account any of the points on handling ,spotting mentioned in your video The biggest error they make is not looking at the actual strike I see thousands of coins graded very high that are weak struck Yes ,they meet the criteria for PCGS,NGC,etc for the grade ,but a well struck coin even in a lower grade (ex MS66 ) are much more desirable and valuable to a knowledgeable numismatist Some coins in lower MS grades like 60 through 64 can be real dogs Many times I have purchased well struck AU coins over these ,as they are much more pleasing to the eye Thank you for pointing these issues with slabbed coins out Comment from : @VintageGuitarist66 |
|
Thanks for the video, great info Comment from : @kennethcaine3402 |

In the graded sports card business, some dealers/crooks were somehow separating the PSA holders and replacing them with lower graded cards and reselling at the higher grade Be very careful and make sure to see exactly the coin you are buying from a reputable dealer Comment from : @pl1532 |

Outstanding and thank you for sharing! I had a similar discussion with a coin shop owner about a slabbed coin PCGS that did not represent the MS grade listed Clearly there was spotting and milking on the coin surface The coin had degenerated since it was slabbed as you had described I tried to explain this to the coin shop owner He still held fast and attempted to sell it to me as is I told him hey have ever heard of "Buy the coin not the slab" and left never to come back Comment from : @Helldpdigr |

Great video, my beef is grading labels first strike early release, my opinion absolutely meaningless the biggest gimmick ripoff to come down the Pennsylvania Pike, early release first strike mint state 70 is the same as a mint state 70 with a regular label on it, as the saying goes it's the coin stupid, if you're silly enough to pay extra for these labels the grading companies are smart enough to take your money Comment from : @drake8065 |
|
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and skills I am really interested in hunting coins but I just new hunting coins so I still learning more so please help me more how to learning more about coins and God bless you Comment from : @elizabethjack595 |
