Getting proofs in mint boxes (pretty fancy, actually, in a capsule, in a velvet book, in a box with a certificate) was worth the extra $30 or $40 I paid over non proof Eagles Plus I already had a flock of Eagles, I wanted a little herd of Buffaloes This was quite out of character for this stacker, my last purchase was a 100 gram bar (Only $34/ounce over) But the proof Buff is nicer to be sure, just look at the definition in the hair and the date

It is worth noting the Indian and black diamond are less shiny on the proof but the rim ofc is shiner so it’s kinda a overall good shine versus high and low shine contrast

I can’t remember seeing an AGB proof out of a capsule or slab and I’ve always shrugged them off Seeing one without the protection of plastic really shows it off I can see what the fuss is about now Good advice on proofs I have some eagle proofs, only because they were a deal and a little cheaper than the non proofs at the time

I always want to know why it's called a buffalo by everyone including dealers when it's not the same animal But no one mentions that it's a bison Which was a very meaningful animal to the aboriginals of this land and even the colonizers for a time But it is my favorite gold American coin, probably just in general lolhard to pick one tho bcuz i love the gold libs and pesos also

Like is said before Gold is gold Doesn't matter whether you have proof, seminumi or bullion Dealers will go buy it by weight usually below spot or at spot They go buy weight not what type of coin you have unless your coin is in heavy demand and the dealers don't have it and can resell it quicklybrbrRemember folks, buy the weight not the type of coin
