I play C chord with my pinky on 1st string 2nd fret because it's easier to change from C to E7 to Am and to other chords that need pinky on 1st string like D and F

Been playing guitar for 25 years Just got a banjo today The most frustrating part is getting used to the 5th string that isn't the entire length of the neck I can't get my picking hand and fret hand to play/strum the same string if that makes sense
