I’m 59 now my dad was a fiddle player in country western bands Bob Wills style (no blue grass)and growing up watching tv show HeeHaw so learning to play banjo has been on my bucket list for years I can play some cords on guitar so maybe I have a slight advantage I haven’t bought a banjo yet but planning to purchase a 5 string with a resonator Thanks I’ll be watching more lessons 🪕👋🏼

Guitarist here, but important note: you want to go extremely slowly and not make mistakes in the beginning because you don't want to learn something wrong That's the only reason why If you get the hang of it quick and think you can start going faster, give it a second If you start going too fast you might learn some bad habits If you do end up learning something funny, it's generally all right, as long as you're making the right noises, especially in guitar and banjo Just to avoid any possibility of injury though, it's best to start super slow so that you have a good basis so that you can go faster later Give it time You'll get there You have this 💖

I found a banjo at a thrift store and after fixing it up with a friend we got it working (The action is a little too high but we'll fix that later) and after letting him have it as a gift he decided to return it to me as a b day gift with extra strings, winder, and finger picks time to learn banjo I guess! great tutorial btw
