I buy some of each coin just to have them but I'm a stacker at heart, the most silver for the least amount of money Coins or rounds more so than bars for SHTF bartering situation but 10 oz bars are my real go to for stacking for wealth preservation I have very, very little constitutional silver and if I do buy constitutional it's usually good dimes, no war nickels, no 40 stuff Comment from : @mrtrapper93 |
SalYou said it yourself"Libertads are High in Demand" All the more reason to stack them I have never had a problem liquidating them as those that collect them are always looking to stack moreMy LCS is always happy to get them brThanks as always for the video !! Comment from : @ABLEROONE |

The 1965 - 5 Swissfranc coin, as well as the 2 Francs in your Bag ;-) has 0,835 Silver in it If you can get a 1928 and below, it goes up to 0900 Silver Also some of the 10 DM (Deutsche Mark Memorial Coins 1998 up to 2001) have 0,925 Gold and the Austrian 50 Schilling Memorial Coins (1959 up to 1973) have 0,900 Silver As they are cheap as hell here in Europe and are also sold for no money on garage sales, they are maybe worth a thought Comment from : @klausschopperle430 |
Thanks for the great infoI love collecting not so much for making profit Comment from : @zoltan303stackin |

Agree with the slicks I buy junk only from in store dealers or individuals Know your coin weights and you will know what is unacceptablebrAnother reason to avoid these as you are VERY susceptible to accepting fakes since the weights and dimensions are so off!brGood video! Comment from : @richardclausen154 |

I sold all my 'junk' silver a while back and got good 999 rounds instead brEven a no name round that is verifiable 999 silver is better at the end of the day than a US coin that is actually still legal currency than can be spent as such but the face value is 1/1000th of the actual value Comment from : @theshitshow-em3fk |
Great video, I admit I stack a lot of 50 as its my country NZ coins and Britain Good news is the Swiss silver coins are 833, quite common in continental Europe before 1920 and Swiss to 69 for 5 francs and 67 for 5, 1 and 2 Francs You get 72 for Palestine and early Dutch (Although some Dutch is 945), Swedish is low at 40 and the German and Italian/Austrian post 1946 stuff is mostly 68 Belgian 100 and 50 Francs of 50s are 833 too Comment from : @Moneytane1976 |
My local Dealer will let you sit down and hand pick every single coin of junk Silver I buy That is an awesome Dealer and not all dealers will do that I agree slicks are a terrible product at any price Comment from : @glockumollie1230 |
Lilbertad is pronounced "Lee-burr-todd" in SpanishbrI liked the video You talk about the other end of the spectrum instead of "what to buy"br Comment from : @lanier1000 |
When you buy junk silver, the coin weight is already discounted to 715 oz troy per dollar of face value The standard for coining is 7234 oz troy per dollar If you buy them in bulk, I search them thoroughly for missed value I found 14 proof quarters in a 600 piece bag One of them was even a 1942! In a 600 piece half dollar bag I found 2 Columbian halves which I sold for profit And in a bag of dimes I found a 1916-S Mercury dime in AU condition Still trying to sell it I know it's worth more than $2 Comment from : @sstrauss6752 |

Really good video Def made a few 'collectible' purchases over the years with my small stack I've always avoided the foreign currency and sliders for the same reasons you mentioned here Comment from : @piscinaiv7937 |

Maybe you should protect your investments When you go to sell coin shops pay more fr condition also Don’t just throw your silver dollars in a bag Protect them with a plastic holder or maybe a tube!! Comment from : @sportsgrunt7000 |
I don't avoid 40 or war nickels if the price is right if I can buy them below spot I will buy all I can I have 80 40halfs I paid about 3 dollars each so it's all about the price you get them at you make your money when you buy not when you sell Comment from : @raygeorge5974 |
my lcs does buy 40 at spot if you sell $20000 face or more , that’s pretty good , and some online dealers pay well for 40 as well $628 per dollar face value is the average based on $2351 spot price,so if you have been stacking 40 for a long time you could come out pretty good , I remember buying 40 for $1700-$1800 for $1000 fvbrBulk sell is the game with 40 from the research I have done Comment from : @Copperstacker29 |
Foreign silver is fantastic for stacking I routinely get it for 50 of spot because people are obsessed with American minted coinage Comment from : @kratostomatoes8587 |
Agree about the war nickels, however when I bought some at $01 over spot it was hard to pass up Comment from : @jeffreywolski1426 |
Thank you sir, well put The only “regret” I have stacking is picking up no date standing liberty quarters I have a little over a tube But that was back when I was still learning and at least it’s not fake Keep posting and Keeep Stackin!!!! Comment from : @stevejahn83 |
Mostly I stack but from time to time I buy something I just like … For example that 2oz Revolver coin for around $250 I think it was …?🌎🗿™️ Comment from : @jamesonealbrown7227 |
@SalivateMetalbr9:46 This is a high desirable 5 Franken (Fünfliber in swiss german) coin Weight is 15 grams in 835 silver so around 12,525 grams fine silver uncirculated Has more silver in it as any us half dollar One of the best european junk silver coins in the 1960's Switzerland was the last country in Europe which had 4 coins in 835 silver in the 1960's The 5 Franken in the 1960's was the european silver coin in circulation which had (with over 12 grams of fine silver in it) the higest amount of silver I'm swiss that's why i know it Comment from : @cardaveux |

I imagine the arrogance of American stackers, refusing to look up of silver in Canadian , British or other world silver coins Comment from : @ironrye4317 |
The advantage to war nickels is they are the most divisible they actually have a bit less silver than a silver dime I even collect regular nickels as cupro nickel bullion so space is no concern Comment from : @mysterybuyer3738 |
Totally agree as usual and a very valid video and you make some great points I have several tubes of Kangaroos But I also have a single Kennedy Half dollar 1966, why, because it is a great coin, the strike is much more pronounced than a 90 coin and the toning is also much better You are correct the 40 coins are great Silver handled correctly gives lovely hard edges and exceptional strikes, but I agree, the 90 is surely a better silver investment Recognition and more silver content is always going to win in the end Comment from : @SouthSideFrankie |
I find, myself, downsizing ( to a point) from quanity to quality and older coins that still hold good melt valuesome numistatics but nothing over 4,000$i,m still a realist about fractional junk and culled morgansbut i have a weakness for cc and toned morgansjeez i feel like i,m at a AA meeting🙄 Comment from : @keithknechg3217 |

IMO, 2023 is a lost year for stacking ASEs in any quantity I’m hoping Silver Eagles break below my 20 limit on premiums soon! (Right now just over $27 each) 👌🏼 Comment from : @YankeeStacking |
1-4 totally agree Silver weighs a ton, and you want to get the best and most transparent and transportable BUT, really, the ASE bad for stacking? Disagree a lot The bad news is the massive counterfeiting done on them, but the good news is demand/premiums will be around for decades The worst #5 is the Chinese Panda Even the Libertads are a better buy over that Comment from : @cairpreliffechair832 |
I have a very honest coin dealer who gave me spot on war nickels The reason I bought war nickels was at auctions nobody wants them and you can get them cheaper Comment from : @horstdouglas1 |
Thanks Comment from : @michaelengland8299 |

I sold my eagles on the last price spike and bought generic on the way down When silver dropped under $23, I went long MAG silver miner When it dropped a bit more I purchased a couple calls on MAG and MTA for February I still expect another drop in Sept/Oct, but if I don't get it I'm already decently positioned and won't worry about FOMO because I buy LOW and sell HIGHER (IF I sell at all) Comment from : @markhaseley3304 |
couple years ago Eagles were only like $400 over spot at $999 they can keep them at the end of the day an ounce of silver is an ounce of silver regardless what stamp is on it Comment from : @efirce |

Storage space isn't a factor for me, so I have $700 face of 40 comes to just over 200 ozt melt weight Comment from : @Der0Nibelung |
Here in Australia the kangaroo is the cheapest 1oz silver I can get so that’s what I have most of But recently I’ve gone a little mad and splashed out on some more artistic stuff at multiples over spot because their designs are fascinating I’m well aware that I might never get my money back, but I guess that’s the difference between stacking for long term wealth and collecting unique pieces But unfortunately at the moment, as spot prices fall, our AUD is dropping even faster, so we’re paying more than a month ago 🤯 Comment from : @dinsy512 |
I have a handful of the 40 Kennedy Half Dollars, but only because I've kept them over the years when I got them in change Comment from : @therealhawkeyeii7888 |
