The quality of education is based on economical the rich countries value those kind of things very well The poor countries cannot do it they always fall behind it is tragic situation for the poor countries and the children so they can not develop their countries and provide contributions it is so sad in this stage

Living in UK I can honestly say 4yrs old child is waaaay too young to sit at school from 9am to 3pm! Way too young My son was in Reception when first lockdown was announced and boy was I happy! And boy was he happy outside playing in the garden or park every day That’s what children need! Movement, lots of playtime outside, exploring They need to be allowed to be chilled not to be forced into silly uniforms and stuck in the class with strangers telling them what to do all day Their brains are not ready for that at the age of 4! They still need home and parents comforting and they don’t get that from strange teachers All these researchers most probably never picked ups tired crying child from the school at 3pm And if you think education stops people from misbehaving and antisocial behaviour, tell me why UK prisons are so full, why there’s so many bullying at schools and workplaces, so many thieves breaking into houses and cars, so many stabbed children, so much police? And let’s not start with mental health issues as that’s a one big disaster that this country just like to talk a lot but doesn’t do anything about! Why if education is so great? I’ll tell you why it’s not about education at all, it’s about values Values that parents should teach their children first before they go into education UK had lost these long time ago (I’m not British born, been living in the UK since y 2000 so can compare with the country I grew up

Doesn't NATURE's international University Index really reflects the kind of education needed to for the 21st Century? Beside ranking the quality of those universities by their quality of researches they are producing Obviously, not many British Universities are among the elites; unlike the up-to the end of last century, many were still deemed good Indeed I thought so when both mine went there

In the uk and Europe as well, children are not pushed to work hard at a young age at the primary stage All the hard work starts by year 9 or 10 it is too late Kids became lazy and more focused on having fun and more time on social media They do want to go to school anymore brAnd parents have no power, and even schools over thembrThe system is focused on one group of children

Like every other standardized test, the PISA test does not predict how happy someone's life will be I certainly wouldn't have wanted a childhood geared to doing well on a test I didn't want my children to live life that way either I have one child with an IQ of 145 and another with an IQ of 110 They had very different levels of success in school, but I would say that both are equally successful in career and in life They both have found ways to be excellent in their callings

I come from Germany and our school system is getting worse and worse: no money, no staff, no ideas, broken schools, unusable gymnasiums, egalitarianism, no individual support brBut another problem is that more and more parents are failing to socialise their children and get them ready for school These huge social differences cannot be absorbed by an education system that is sewn to the edge
