People have varying IQ Those with low IQ will struggle It’s not exactly difficult to understand this, mathematical ability is very strongly correlated with IQ Comment from : @TheUndulyNoted |

Math's? 😂brbrSeriously, though Professor Scott Steiner taught me how to be good at the maffs Comment from : @Duk3Silv3r |

I did choose to learn/take branches of maths that I understood, eg arithmetic and managed to get through the O/L well and did Accounting for Advance Level and Degree in Accounting! By the way I had to do Calculus for one of the uni subjects, so I memorised! Yes, you can memorise maths and pass exams! Comment from : @AndrewEnglish-pf3nm |

I have younger brother, and I helping him with math problem is, he doesn't understand it I trying to explain it diffent ways, but it seems like he can't understand it I guess he thinks different way than me and my explanation isn't clear for him I don't know what to do, things that I didn't even need to get explained he doesn't understand at all I need advice 😭br(well some things he understands well, and he good at simple things like addiction and multiplying integers, but when there's equations, percentages, fraction it's getting hard) Comment from : @isaacfoster9661 |

It's beyond doubt genetics plays an important part in learning different subjects Some people good at maths, some creative writing, some ppl shapes, photographic memory etcppl have diff of levels of all the diff IQ's, it's a combination of these IQs and exposure of that individual makes up his/her final knowledgebrAll these are genetics which are genetics except exposuregood lineage ppl will be ahead in acquiring exposure knowledge, so that's if we look back hundred years ago The wealthy families were the ones doing university level education, that's the advantage of generational passage of genetically coded knowledgebrDon't worry, even though some ppl might seem to have a head start in life the ones who actually identifies his/her talent by themselves n who implements those talents practically are the geniusesbrSo the key to be a happy life to gain as much as exposure in life before by the age of around 35, u will find ur true vision n happiness in life Being happy n peacefulness is all beings crave forbrSo ppl go out n explore the world as much as u can n widen ur knowledge n Brain (literally) Comment from : @arunmohandas9127 |

Confusing language structure is my weakness in math For example, “All of them are horses except 5” There’s 1 horse 🤨 Comment from : @TiagoNurzhan |

|
From what i can gather from people it seems that semi autistic math teachers with extremely poor communication skills are a major reason for people not learning the skill brI had a weirdo teachers who literally only had one way of explaining each assignment, if someone asked for clarification he would repeat the same explanation he just gave and if you still didn't get it he would get very annoyed and start questioning your hearing, concentration or intelligence brThat kind of teachers causes many kids to just give up on math early and keep their heads down in class Comment from : @1112viggo |

Am actually not good at maths Comment from : @joshuaray3938 |

when you explain abstractic things like math, bryou had better to use imaiges, brand sound only explaination brdoes not work Comment from : @MultiYUUHI |
|
|
If you want to get better at mathematics, it really takes effort and practice But it's not just about practicing; you also need to understand the concepts That's the key point Practicing without understanding the concept is pointless in the long run You can easily forget it, no matter how much time you spend practicing Also, if you have borderline intellectual ability, it can be really challenging, too Comment from : @hellenh614 |

I don't really see the point of this study It's obvious right from the start that some children take to maths straightaway, and some find it incredibly hard I found it very hard: I could recite the times tables, and, later on, Pythagoras's theorem, etc (still can, at 73!), but that's only a demonstration of a good memory I was notoriously bad at all maths and science subjects, and am now struggling with computers, and yes, my whole family had the same problem But I learned to read before my fifth birthday, and was good at English and, later, at French I now have a French diploma It's a different kind of mind My daughter inherited her father's 'all round' ability, and now has a Cambridge master's degree My grandson found reading incredibly hard, but was discussing square roots with his father, a scientist, when he was 8 years old! It's obvious that genes have a great deal to answer for! Comment from : @vivienhodgson3299 |

Math has numbers and logic thinking Number needs learning as early as possible Comment from : @KimYeh-q5q |

My husband's old coworker was working on a math problem with him It was a mildly complicated multiplication My husband said it's X (he's really good at mental math) The coworker pulled out a calculator and he was like but i told you the ans The coworker looked at him and said it never hurts to double check your work How would you feel if you broke this multimillion dollar piece of equipment because you were too proud to use a calculator? I totally understand the detrimental effects of anxiety on learning I found that I did better in school after my anxiety was treated and my family situation improved So stress and environment make a ihuge/i difference I would ilove/i to work at the crossroads of teaching and psychology I'd probably also enjoy being a teacher in Finland Teachers really don't get enough support Financially, emotionally, schedule flexibility, job flexibility, curriculum flexibility, parental support, administrative support - it's a real dead-end job in a lot of areas, with bright, creative, and motivated people leaving the profession I'm sure there are bad and lazy teachers out there, but I highly doubt that it warrants the level of contempt that some have for teachers in general And perhaps give teachers a sabbatical or exchange year every so often: a change of scenery is often a very good inspiration for improvement Comment from : @jorymil |

Brains are not working the same way for every one We have to use our talents to improve our lives Plumbers, artists, hockey player don't use their math quantum the same way but life evolve like slime Maths are always there but integrated differently There is more than one best song interpretation Enjoy life with music and love Comment from : @jentihom |

My suggestion- suppose you want to calculate gcm, just write all the possible answers, try trial and error to find how the numbers came, just do it once, next second u r enjoying maths, Newton used to calculate log values pages after pages, the secret key to maths is be dumb and solve values each single one, trust me it works solid deal, Comment from : @Arijit-bk1rb |

I studied math as an engineer major all through college Some math books were better than others The thing that always frustrated me the most was looking at derivations and seeing that a step or two was skipped, which was key in understanding the derivation, but was not obvious and slowed me down enough while studying it that it turned out to be a waste of time studying the derivation I guess I was good at math, but not so much that I could make the mental leap from step 1 to step 3 for instance Comment from : @paladinsorcerer67 |

I am hopeless with numbers and have no sense of direction Even simple additions, I STILL count on my fingersif I go into a mall, and enter a store, without fail, when I leave the shop, I turn BACK in the direction I came in I wonder if the two are connectedor am I just naturally stupid I am, however, good at languages, not sure if being ok at one thing effects your ability in another Comment from : @ellebrook3413 |

There are only 2 main reasons which make human -invented notions of mathematics difficult to most people br1 Human mathematicians do not actually understand their own invented notions of mathematics, keeping coming up with irrational absurdity by manipulating the flaws of their own invented notions br2 Ambiguous language used in teaching such invented notions, which can make simple notions complicated or confusing brI can easily prove the most worshipped mathematical formula by well-known human mathematicians are nonsense, just by applying their own defective notions of mathematics because all human -invented notions of mathematics are human constructs to express human subjective understanding of the physical universe, but not any natural intrinsic physical properties of any form of matter at all Hence there are numerous flaws in them You would be able to understand so if you actually studied such human -invented notions, instead of merely copying them like a photocopying machine brHuman misunderstanding of their own invented notions of mathematics is the root of the causes of human misunderstanding of their own place on this planet and current human destructive development which is inevitably dragging themselves to a self -destruction Now, it is only a matter of time when it will happen if they keep going in such a wrong direction Comment from : @vansf3433 |
