So decathlon in India is a lil more on the expensive side so my second ever mountain bike I'm gonna get is the St 100 brHopefully I can customize the bar and turn it into disk brakes if possible :D Comment from : @ghoul1sh-00 |

Question in terms of derailleur choice: If im building my first enduro bike (brand new ns snabb from the 15-6’ ish design with 142x12 axle) and am going for an 1x11 system, wich one of those would be recommended? I allready got an xt m765 crankset, with a 34t nw ring that has 1mm offset so far For the correct chainline should it be more? The snabb has a 73mm bb shell, and my rear casette has to be hg compatible and the provisioned range is 11-46 on the back end If anybody could help me out with derailleur choice that would be nice Currently im debating myself between m7000(not in stock at most places anymore, m8000got a handful in stock at places and 5100 which i easily could buy Pros cons against the 5100 vs the other two? Comment from : @petermolnarfr |

I'm sad you went from the 229 GBP st100 ( it's not 299!) to the 600 and 900 full suspension bikes Decathlon has some pretty good hardtails in the 500-1300 GBP range Like the st900 hardtail, the AM trail, XC100, xc120 and the carbon xc500 with GX eagle groupset and a rockshox reba fork Comment from : @jeroenvanderveen3190 |
I see my bike in this video Comment from : @flxt_mtb9632 |
Kudos for you guys for doing some Decathlon/Btwin/Rockrider stuff, they do make some good bang for the buck bikes I still have my RR91 from 2007 that now has had some tasty upgrades, like better wheels, brakes, shorter stem, longer handlebars , and a fork with more travel 1x drive set today it would be considered as a Downcountry bike My son rides it and he loves it I always say it's better to get one of these bikes than some cheap dodgy no brand entry level 2 wheeler! Comment from : @leonline3424 |
My first bike was a Norco Storm a couple years ago, paid around $1000 AUD It was an amazing entry to the mountain bike scene I did a 1x conversion myself on it Already had an air fork and hydraulic disk brakes which I paired with some bigger rotors I'v since had a slight upgrade to a 2021 Norco Fluid full squish trail bike and love that thing Comment from : @mattyosborne1453 |
What typeof bike do you need would be a good beginner vid, alsoin conjunction with GCN so many buy a mtb or FS and only ride on road, or buy a hybrid and think they can hit the trails on itbrMost shops imo sell people what they think the person wants to keep them sweet and make sure they buy, rather than advise them what they NEED and risk loosing a sale understandable as they are a business but not helpful for newbie riders Comment from : @rupedog |
This is a great vid for anyone thinking of buying their first mtbor even 2nd, 3rd for many! Comment from : @rupedog |
Lightness/weight is a much mis-used sales or decision factor tbh brIn cheaper bikes, light usually means weak/not robust Comment from : @rupedog |
Purchase price isn't the only consideration Higher level bikes with more kit does usually mean more maintenance though hydraulic brake bleeds, suspension servicing, dropper servicing, wearing parts like drivetrains cost more to replace Comment from : @rupedog |
Riding review @ 11:30 Comment from : @rupedog |
Get a saddle fit, or use WTB's fit right calculator brFatter saddle does not mean more comfort it's all about ur sit bones and thigh gap Comment from : @rupedog |
Wheels: Light, Strong, Cheap you can only choose 2 Comment from : @rupedog |
I’ve got the st150 in grey Comment from : @James-pd7km |
For anyone looking to buy the 540s, i can confirm that it is not a decathlon fork, it is actually just a rebranded suntour xcr32 coil fork, very good for people over 65ish kg but after 2 years or so it will start developing problems Comment from : @Eriestdoor |
AYY THAT 540S IS MY BIKE Comment from : @Eriestdoor |

finally rockrider is getting the recognition they deserve Comment from : @Eriestdoor |

Got myself my first "proper" mountain bike last week, after having road bikes a few years ago and old mountain bikes when i was in my teens! Went for an "ideal traxer", which hasfox 32 forks, full shimano xt drive train and hydraulic disks front and rear! absolutely steal at just over 1k! Comment from : @bambamty |

Kinda wanna see them review the XC and AM range! I ordered a XC100S full suspension XC bike and I'm excited, SRAM NX 1×12, SRAM Level T 180mm front 160mm back, Manitou front and rear suspension I'm excited for it Comment from : @nvire5202 |
Tip #1 don't buy your mountain bike from decathlon Don't get me wrong decathlon is an amazing retailer and their products are amongst the best when it comes to price-performance ratio But in all honesty, you'll be better off buying a good used mountain bike from a known MTB manufacturer than a cheap brand new one from decathlon Just my two cents Comment from : @trkg7356 |
: ) Comment from : @Bacciagalupe |
Hold up Aluminum can be repaired easier than carbon? That’s a big fat WRONG homie! You crack an aluminum frame, you put it on a wall! Comment from : @shwndh |
And if you have problems with a Decathlon bike they provide a no nonsense guarantee and replace parts quickly with no hassle Comment from : @eaglesbasketball5231 |
First bike??? Always always always go with a hardtail Hone your skills on it, it’ll help you so much more when/if you upgrade to full sus Comment from : @1978jabbo |
Rockriders and voodoos aren't snazzy but man they work The base dual sus voodoo my mate owns absolutely shreds better than I shred my orange alpine six thats like 4 times the cost Comment from : @hiigara2085 |
So Nice to see these bikes covered, great value for your buck Comment from : @viktorvandeneede2661 |
Makes me feel better about spending $639 or 475 pounds on my first hard tail and in love it will upgrade to another bike in the near future but I'll always keep the bike because it was my first and its always good to have a spare bike Comment from : @Wheel_tuff |
huge thank you to decathlon for leaving their dumpsters open judging by what's thrown in the dumpster at decathlon i would suggest to avoid cheap bikes with cup and cone hubs if you can't because you are poor like me at least check the hubs because i've found brand new wheels with defective cups and cones Comment from : @1mxtp |

I would suggest avoiding decathlon, been waiting for a replacement part for months, their bikes have specific parts only they seem to have Have had to mod my fork and shock to be "locked" open as the lockout stopped working and the shocks default is locked closed meaning no suspension Comment from : @zackeryeh |
i have the rockrider st900s costum, i Ride enduro 😁 4 piston guide RE 180/160mm disc brakes, minium DHF/dhr 230, with mavic crossride wheels, 1x10 gear , crank brothers stamp 1 pedals , 760mm handlebar and a 35mm stem with specialized grips 😁😁 its a hell of a machine for starting Enduro , you guys can see how she shreds youtube/2vSXs8TQbwQ Comment from : @micaelvaz1208 |
