I had TWO Records I really loved n treasured but like a fool "loaned" 1 to someone never to be seen again, It was a 1955 10 Inch LP Elvis from the film Loving you, my other valuable record I still have thank God is a 1959 Elvis by RCA in Glorious MONO I forgotten it in my late sister's loft it was Only played ONCE on the heavy weight "tone arms" of the 60s record players with ceramic cartridges it's in excellent condition I hardly play it now to keep it in it's great condition I may get a MC cartridge since my pre-amp has a facility for a MC cartridge But when I play this LP Elvis Is in my room! Micro grooves on an LP cannot handle well TWO channels very well so ANY Mono will reproduce the sound in a higher Fidelity than a stereo I also have the Sure obstacle course record to check how well your tone arm/cartridge can track at what weight bought that to check how well my ShureV15 3 could track, not looking to sell it But love to know what its worth anyone has an Idea?

I only have one vinyl set worth (based on Discogs sales) more than $1k-$2k: Pearl Jam's Benaroya Hall set, considered one of the band's true grails I have other pieces in the $300-800 market but the Benaroya set is the crown jewel And I'll be selling it on consignment shortly 😔

About 20 years ago I found the Rush Moon on Ebay and bought it for $200 Two Christmases later I was broke and resold it for my son's presents If I ever get another copy, I'll never part with it, at any price Also, they (including Ray Danniels) released a 45 on the Moon label

I have several Fox Trot records by various British Artists that were bought in the 1940s in England made by HMV, Odeon etc These are bakelite records (may be 78 RPM) that never even saw a needle on them to be played can some one tell their value

I have a copy of Styx Cornerstone that was only sold to fan club members, it is a beautiful silver/platinum vinyl I don't think it is really that rare, but it sure is pretty I only have about 300 - 400 records, but they are all in excellent condition I have used disc washer every time I play one

I often wondered why I collect vinyl they are the baseball cads of music Ten years back I'd have looked at the background of this video and not thought nothing about it Now well I know I have at least 14 of the collection and that's just by looking at the spine without zooming in Music is music and people get nuts about sound; digital vs analog, stereo vs mono at the end of the day, we are collecting music baseball cards What's a Mantle or Jordan rookie going for these days? Time will tell

It was produced by Ford Motor company and Columbia records It has speeches from Franklin D Roosevelt, Harry S Truman, Dwight D Eisenhower, John F Kennedy, Lyndon B Johnson and Richard M Nixon! Still in its original plastic never been opened? Or Elvis Presley's limited edition commemorative album #72882 excellent condition but no skips but has been played Gold tone 2 album set? I grew up in the 80s/90s and of course got big into the edm scene in the late 90s/00s while coming of age Anyways, I bought a DJs collection with some very cool finds like massive attack first presses, underworld, zero 7, tosca chocolate Elvis, and others like suzuki, peace orchestra Later started really hunting down things like boards of canada (watch the record store day story on the secret albums dropped in stores around the world) thievery corporation, burial, amon tobin I was shocked to see how much these have gone up in value over the last decade or so Not sure if you're into this style, or even know anything about it, but a video on it would be cool as it's still pretty niche

Here's one you may or may not know about The Beatles 'Introducing The Beatles' on VeeJay sold very little, but after 1964 there was a huge demand for it, and it got re-pressed big big time However, I'm not sure it was VeeJay who did the re-issue? Anyhow, here's how to tell if it's original:br1 The photo on the front cover is high quality rather than the rather blurred degraded yellowish image on the re-pressingsbr2 The clincher: on the original, Paul is heard counting in to 'I Saw Her Standing There' - "ONE, TWO THREE, FOUR" But on the repress, the first three numbers have been lost or cut, so all you hear is "FOUR!"brThe original must be worth a few thousand $ ?

read something quite awile back about the head of Capitol records died and his son became the new head of the company many years later the son started goig thru his Dad's storage closets at capitol records in Hollywood found a whole case of the original Beatles meat cover never taken out of the case now to me hat news if it's true would have devalued the whole thing I don't know

In July of 1969 I was gifted three (3) copies of the Beatles White Album for my birthday from different family members My mother was to return two of them, I kept one, played it all the time When my mother passed in 2019, we found both of the copies, still sealed, never opened while cleaning out the house Ironically , we also found sealed copies of a 1964 Under the Boardwalk by the Drifters, and a 1965 sealed Whipped Cream & Other Delights- (Herp Albert) I know little about records, who could I contact to tell me more without having to unseal any of the 4?
