My two cents: try the Port Charlotte 10 Year from Islay However, I don't recommend it neat Try it with a dollop of water and it is a completely changes its' characterfloral, peaty and very smooth It has been my experience that whiskeys near 50 really go better with some water What is interesting is that once you reach cast strength (approx 60) that has been aged for 15 - 18 yrs the whiskey seems to be smooth out and is perfect neat The best Scotch I ever had was an 18 year old cask strength Glenfiddich brbrYears ago my wife worked for William Grant & Sons and on Christmas and Easter they gave each employee two bottles of anything they sold Needless to say I tried just about every Glenfiddich and Balvenie they produced What an introduction to Scotch Comment from : @clarkgreyhosky9039 |

I agree with these choices, they are all good But I do feel compelled to make a couple corrections, even though this is two years old now and no one is going to read thisbr1 Bunnahabhain is not peated They describe themselves as "Matured predominantly in ex-sherry casks, our whisky is known for being unpeated, natural colour and non-chillfiltered"br2 It is at least misleading to call Bunna the least peated Islay when The Classic Laddie is also from Islay and also 100 unpeated Comment from : @contentioushackery |
SPOT ON!!! Comment from : @sergiomontesdeoca5955 |

Two you can certainly add to your list and both are cheaper than this current list is a Glenlivet 12 year or the Founder's Reserve, both are fantastic and also Aberfeldy 12 Both are remarkable for their price and will run you about $40-$45 Comment from : @Zmann86 |
