As someone from the Netherlands’s taxes are crazy high, but it depends how much u earn, my parents earn a lot so they pay like crazy taxes even sometimes 20-25k usd/euros in 1 year (sometimes even less than a year)

As an italian i expect the numbers shown here to only partially show how a small percentage of incomes is taxed Our workforce gets taxed (on average) so much that evading taxes has become socially accepted and encouraged to many degrees (both in legal and illegal ways) I understand that there's a culture that influences this habit, but culture alone cannot be the only cause of this crime

I’d add Singapore and Hong Kong for low and simple taxation from Asia Western countries expanded the size of their government to centralise many things in post ww2 era I’m living in Australia, it’d be similar in other English speaking countries that you’re paying high taxes, indeed people are more chill, you’re just not going to be ultra wealthy in that sense Maybe the US is a bit better that you have choices, Florida and Texas are economically friendly so I’d live in either one of them if I move to the US

In Iraq, income tax is 5, but not even from your whole salary, they deduct parts of it based on your marital status, so if you get $2000 and are married with kids, you might have to pay 5 of $1200

Hey from Israel Its depends on how much you earn However if I remember correctly, If you earn under the minimum wage you don't pay income taxes Other than that there is the notional social security (mandatory for everyone) and health insurance (also mandatory) they both also rise the more you earn
