Have dyslexia and had to go through a lot of support systems in kindergarten through intermediate Now an adult and still have some issues but not so much in reading, etc

All of those discribe my son and at the same time doesn't He's got multiple speech impediment diangoses, such as phonetic speech impediment (dificulty of discerning phonetic sounds, difficulty with pronnounciations and so on) He's also AuDHD and was non verbal till 4 years of age His vocabulary is strong and he loves to ryhme, he has taught himself English, which would make it his 3rd language Yet he says all the letters jump around, new letters are added and his brain gets confused when reading He keeps guessing at words and has trouble remembering a word that has been repeated several times in the text Yet he has great understanding and memory of the text he has read For an autistic kid, learning a new skill is scary since it deviates from what he knows The unknown is scary Building up his confidence is a struggle since he knows he's capable but his brain keeps tripping him up Many times has he broken down crying because he want's to do a thing, but his brain doesn't That makes him feel like a failiure These videos give me plenty of good tips and pointers on how to handle his reading difficulties and how to move forward Fortunatly for us, his school has a lot of resources at hand to help him with all of his issues and will be putting in extra effort with his reading for the upcoming second grade

there wasn't much known about dyslexia long ago when I was a child, but looking back there were so many clues to my struggles however with time and a lot of effort I earned my PhD! For anyone out there go with your strengths, cover your weaknesses and keep going

A lot of things u decribe in this video decribe dyspraxia, which relates to fine motor skills, eg, doing shoe laces etc Dyslexia and dyspraxia are 2 different things

I Was In special ED In School I was Called Retarded I can write and read but I can't count money or add or subtract or Multiply I have problems with Math
