I would add a couple things brbr1) Stop caring what other people think You can't live their lives and they can't live yours Not keeping up with the Jones's will also reduce your stress brbr2) On the beverage front, we drink a fair amount of iced tea (without sugar) If you use 10 tea bags per gallon, you can get 10 gallons of tea from a single standard box of tea bags That's roughly $500 for 10 gallons of a beverage with flavor Also less expensive than a gallon or two of milk (Plus, we're the only species that voluntarily drinks the milk of another species) Comment from : @markwebb1040 |

it's frustrating looking for tips on how to cut costs only to be suggested things that I already do I was raised in a rather frugal family, with grandparents who lived through war, so you might be right, it could be genes or maybe just learnt behavior But yeah, it still feels like I don't do enough, despite doing all of this list as a default, minus the garden since I'm in an apartment in the city We need a more hardcore version of this list 😂 Comment from : @NoraLynn82 |

Saving is good, investing in your health and earning potential is even more improtant The total amount you can save is just the difference between your abslolute mimmum costs (food, shelter, clothes, transportation) and the actual level of living you're doing now Cutting waste is only substantial IF you're wasting lots But increasing your earning potential by growing your revenue streams is limitless, and will give you the life you really want, not simply the "learn to be content" lifestyle Comment from : @dstevens518 |

Thank you very much for reminding me of all the things my parents & grandparents used to do I do most of them now, but canning just isn't one of them Living alone, it just doesn't make sense for me And even though I do cook and eat at home most of the time, I don't cook for a lot of people anymore so I'm going to start getting rid of the extra large cooking items (baking dishes, etc) I just don't use Or at least severely cut down on them Once again, thank you for the reminders! Comment from : @jonlilley2832 |
|
Video is saved! Comment from : @FrankaKirby |
|
Being frugal or not depends on whether you were raised poor or rich, people who grew up poor value their property and are conservative, people who grew up with money are wasteful and lazy Comment from : @Bettyalford-h9l |
