I just fired the loan officer from Navy Fed Did not answer my calls and when she got back to me (3 days later), it was via email to tell me that the “system was down” My reply: “I no longer require your services” Went to another lender and got pre-approved in less than 3 hours Never again with NFCU

Navy federal play on words too much! If you didn’t know better, PMI don’t even belong in the same category as a government backed loan Even though they work the same to me bc it’s add money to your mortgage, it’s just one is shorter The MIP is for the life of the loan ( FHA, VA or USDA) unless you refinance your home to a conventional home loan Also, for my military service ppl…keep In mind that unless your disability rating is 100 service connected or Purple Heart 💜 check with your lender to see if your compensation puts you at exempt All of this will be stated on your COE ( Certificate of Eligibility) listed with the VA Otherwise, your no money down will be added and financed into your loan under VA Funding Fee
