In the UK Charity/Thrift shops near me prefer to be paid electronically now, because the bank charges are higher for depositing cash The 3 bank branches in my local small town centre have all closed I have to drive to the next large town over to pay in a cheque, or do it by post At a branch that has 1 teller and half a dozen machines to pay in and withdraw money

It took me a month to take out $20k in order to take to europe on a trip My wife and i wanted to take 10k each to go shopping for our anniversary We had saved up the cash over time and went to take it out, the bank told me i would need to fill out a request and it would take 2 weeks per 10k I was going to buy a helicopter once and had to take out 80k to take to canada for the escrow company They refused to use a us escrow company, and said it would take 2 weeks for processing a draft I had to get 80k in travelers checksbrbrThe passcodes were for all S&G mechanisms, including that AMSEC They all use that mechanism

Henry is spot on with his answers regarding fees on the account All cash intensive businesses have this expense I’ve worked in banking 25 years and cash intensive businesses are ALOT of work We had a vending machine business that we gave them the option to increase fees OR they could get their own service to pick up their deposits They left our bank for a competitor As soon as the new bank saw just how intensive the work required was they closed out their account

In the UK any deposit of cash into a bank account over £5000 and the bank has to inform the Inland Revenue !! The IR will clearly check at the end of the tax year to see if that money was declared or not! Big Brother is watching you alright!!

I am not a lawyer, again not a lawyer but I thought that if the FBI wanted to get into the safe, even if they had a warrant , the warrant would have to be given to the owner of the property I bet if the owner was never notified of the warrant any "evidence" in that safe would ne inadmissible Am I wrong?

Can small businesses like his have multiple accounts with different banks? That way maybe he can keep his deposits below the 20K threshold I don't know about the geographical locations of different banks in that state, but I know in the North East, there are so many densely populated areas that are saturated with different banks and their branches competing at every other street corner and downtown strip You can't walk one or two blocks without passing 5 or 6 different banks

Banks in many cases do not have a whole lot as you would think in a Branch on any given time, rather they send most of everything out of their typical daily operations back to their central Vaults This is to reduce liabilities We would have customers come in and if they wanted anything over $20k Regardless if we had it or not we would tell them we would order it and call them when it was ready We refused to give a date as that sets you up to be robbed when they know you have the cash we would wait 24 days call the customer and have them come in and collect their cash Many procedures aren't in response to customers but rather protecting themselves from being robbed

If banks can show that less people are withdrawing a lesser amount of cash they can use it as an excuse to close branches or fire employees etc brA lot of the time a bank is self fulfilling a narrative for it's own benefitbrWe have seen examples of this in Australia brI read that 1600 branches have been closed in the last 5 years heavily impacting rural areasbrI think banks have forgotten why they existed in the first placebrBanks were given the ability to make profit by lending cash because they also provided a basic service They seem to want the profit without the Social responsibility

They have counting machines that are amazingly fast and accurate My bank counted 10 K when I sold my camper, in just one minute and is able to detect any counterfeit
