This game is so underrated! The customization is insane! Like putting a s15 front clip on a 180 or the r34 clip on the r32 and of course the honda integra type r clip on a acura integra type r etc I loved this game!

I heard a lot of critics about this game and i have to say that graphically it sucks and the driving isn't helping but when you're fully accustomed to it and know it better, it is exactly the type of racing game you're looking for now but you'll never get anymore It has some strong JDM vibes, soundtracks are pretty good, tuning is great, and the game also had some funny easter eggs like the presence of some real persons like the american touge, or the parody of initial d characters, even Dom and Brian have a team in there Honestly this game deserved more credits

The PSP EU ROM that you can find online if you're playing through an emulator is even worse than the PS2 ROMS Not only did they not change the graphics of the cars in hot spots (which reference the NTSC ver), they didn't change the stupid progression screen in the pause menu to reference the 32 roll up racers, it still infuriatingly refers to 40 😡brbrAnd they are also infuriating to encounter, because I kept encountering the same ones over and over again after beating 26/32 of them And because the game still thinks there's 40 roll racers, the completion won't move a smudge beyond 84, even when I have 74/80 race events donebrbrSorry for the rant, I just had to rant because the game and physics engine get frustrating after a while

For the final touge: clutch kick all the way for victory, the starter cars (S14 K's is broken for some reason), and try to score over 18k in total (from my experience, they usually got around 16 to 17k)brbrAssist mode actually makes your car grip "more" before eventually slip

use clutch kick drift and dont counter steer just hold the gas till u finish ur drifting the name is fast and furious but the drift skill from initial d which is 4 wheel drift

if you get the hang of the drifting, for me it was at the DK drift stage, and you tune your car to your liking, the drifting becomes very easy you dont need to full speed in every corner, but with enough hp you still could drift trough the entire corner i loved the drifting progression as a kid back in the day it felt like i was really learning how to drift

Commenting before the end of the video I remember the races against DK's crew as being really difficult but also possible to cheese them At one section of the track you can do donuts that will cause the score to go up quickly, more quickly than the points lost by reaching the end after the opponent Simply donut until hitting about 40k points and cruise to the finish
