This footage wasn't the big deal because it was solely because of Rodney King being viciously beaten by the LAPD more than this sort of thing was regularly happening for decades and someone bfinally/b caught an example of it on video by pure chance So the Black community in LA thought that now this type of thing can be exposed, handled, and set a precedent against it happening again That's why the LA Riots happened; when these officers got to walk, even though they were on video committing crimes after all these decades of people being dismissed and ignored for being manhandled, beaten up, and even murdered on the street without justification, it was a roar of rage against the system

Rodney king was speeding, though, and he wasn't listening to What the cops ordered him to do I think he was a convicted felon before he got beating up He came after officers but of course you can't see that You can't even hear what's being said Everybody knows what happened to Rodney He is so famous for getting beat up more so Than anything he's ever accomplished in life He was awarded like three million dollars He had a hard life He's gone now though he's not here anymore and it's because of a swimming incident
