The Pope and the Vatican has 50,000 medallion coins made up every 3 months They have a manufacturer make them limited to 50,000 per coin/medallion The issue is that they have thousands of issues They have thousands of different types out there which doesn’t make them valuable Chum was right They sell for around $50 to $150 per coin/medallion The only valuable coin/medallion was given by Pope John Paul II which was made of 24k gold and that coin is worth around $5000 right now When the pope had them made in the time he was pope, it only cost less than $100 each to make because they controlled their own gold to make it Now they are made of nickel or brass, bronze or copper Not even silver They simply have no value

As a german I have to object! Hirschfänger literally means "stag / deer catcher" It is similar, but not identical, to a Saufänger (saw / hog catcher), which has a much shorter and wider blade Neither of them usually come with firearms attached So the expert was quite a bit of the mark with this one
