Those cheap tires are compelling but a 5 difference in traction can mean the difference between life and death, not just your life but other people's lives An accident can ruin the rest of a person's life!!brbrGood tires provide better traction and stability, giving you a better chance of avoiding accidents Even when no life is affected, the cost of repairs to damaged property can easily dwarf the price difference between a set of great tires and a set of crappy tires

In 2021 I purchased for my Corvette a set of Atlas W rated tires for $500 mounted and balanced The mileage rating was 40,000 They ran quiet and had outstanding traction on wet surfaces

For all my passenger cars I stick with Falken, Hankook, or Kumho I've never had a problem with any of those brands and the prices are greatbrOn my van however I use Michelin because it handles the extra weight and abuse better The only name brand tire I've ever had issues with is Goodyear

i bought my mom 2 walmart tires for 80 bucks each for her nissan suv no problems, i bought 4 new tires at discount tire for 75 bucks each for my nissan sentra, ive had them on for 2 years, drove to florida from texas 2400 miles there and back no problems

Anything Michelin or Yokohama makes is a decent tirebrGoodyear is also still a solid brand, but Toyo, Kumho, and Continental are also very good Avoid Ohtsu at all costs

Believe it or not quality made Tires made in America vs made in China are a huge difference I paid a little more for two of my Tires and have replaced the other two twice and they are still out living the cheapos Spend a little extra and buy from the USA and you won't be disappointed

Good tires are an immediate upgrade to your breaking distance, your handling, your snow and ice capability and your driving comfort including noise and tracking There's a lot of expensive work you can do on your car to achieve those things, but none easier and more affordable than simply getting some good tires

Sidewall strength usually correlates well with upper speed-rated tires, so if you value good steering response at normal speeds, that's a good thing I really never recommend going BELOW the speed rating the car came with It's not much to do about top speed, more to do with the handling envelope the car was designed for IMO

Talked to a guy at AutoZone prior to getting tire stim caps, found out though them that my cars psi rating is on my drivers side door I ended up going back to Royal farms to deflate my tires some, ignore the psi on each tire if its above the recommended air pressure

Nah, over the course of 4 years I'll have a set of tires, welfare tires are 600 a set and michelins are $800 a set I don't think the difference will break me, but it's the only thing touching the road A top end tire will ride better, be quieter and perform better in an emergency No "Lion Star A/S" tire for me please lol

Everyone saying "don't cheap out on tires," I have only ever bought the cheapest possible tires for 25 years now, including 10 years buying cheap Chinese tires in Asia for motorcycles As long as I keep an eye on the tread I have never had any problems I couldn't imagine spending $400 on a tire, that is wild 😂

My snow tires have a speed rating of H (130 MPH) I never drive over 110 MPH in them because my HRV crossover can't get above 115 MPH One time I went 117 MPH going down hill in all season tires

As someone who worked the majority of my life in the tire industry I can tell you with certainty that when you change the speed rating it changes not only the tire life but handling and performance of your vehicle, in some instances it won’t change your opinion but it can and that is something to think about
