I guess i'll use yousician and also watch youtube videos like the rest of us brbrI think it's a good supplementary tool and a good addition to watching video tutorials In learning something, immersion is the key, surround yourself with the thing you want to learn and more

I have ADHD and Yousician is so helpful at keeping me consistent I play every day for an hour, and started around the beginning of the new year I played the violin previously so i have some basic fundamental understanding of rhythm/reading/intonation, etc and i love it So much easier than digging through hundreds of valid YouTube videos (which i still reference too) and not feel overwhelmed I highly recommend it!!

It is a wrong way to learn because you don't actually learn anything you are just following instructions from the screen It's like playing chess by looking at the moves from a computer, it's pointless if you don't understand the moves

People online really want you to believe that you can play for like 510, 1520 2530 even minutes a day and it will be effective but it’s not you need to sit down every cord existence until you can play all of them and switch between all of themas quickly as you possibly, can you need to spend less than two hours and it needs to be one singular session you probably need to do a session per day that same length and you probably need to never skip a day

Yousician seems like an attempt to get the younger participation-trophy generations, which have been conditioned for immediate gratification to stay motivated trying to learn to play an instrument It attempts to make it seem easier and gives them little smiley-face positive reinforcement for doing essentially nothing Looks like a fail to me It doesn't seem to teach them how to read music and if someone can't read music, they'll never be able to play beyond their own living room for their own enjoyment There are no shortcuts to learning to play an instrument well It requires a good teacher, hard work, lots of practice, patience, and perseverance

The best advice I was given when it comes to learning guitar, is ‘Buying a cheap guitar, and Just play for 5 minutes every day The only way you’ll become great at guitar is to fall in love with it” And I still consider my self a noob at guitar, and I’ve been playing for 8 months now My own advice is to find a song that you like and is easy, not Mary had a little lamb, and master it Because if you love that song, you’ll feel guilty if you forget it so you’ll keep playing The first song I learned on guitar was Leaves from the Vine from Avatar

I've been learning guitar with Yousician for a while now and I gotta say it is a really great app for learning! If anyone happens to read this, I do suggest plugging in an electric with the app as it picks up the notes better, especially when doing hammer ons I tried with my acoustic for a while but electric just worked better with the app I don't know if Daniel has posted an update 3 years later but I'd love to see how he's doing with guitar now!

It takes more than 20-30 minutes when you get into the higher levels but like any other hobby in life that you want to get good at, you’re going to have to put time in it I find it enjoyable, I play with an electric guitar and amp The only complaints I have with it are there are not enough songs and any song in the game should have a melody option and never just a chords option Other than that I enjoy it

Yousician is an amazing app, I have been playing for around a month now and the amount I have learned in that month is crazy I use to look at the guitar like it was intimidating to play but this app makes it so easy to understand It takes a lot of work and practice like anything worth doing in life but I pay 20$ a month and it has completely replaced my video game hobby
