Are you a Yousician student? If so, let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear your experience Comment from : @CharlesCleyn |
Would you consider Yousician at this moment a tool empowered by AI? If so, how come? Do you know some music apps powered by AI if this one is not? Thank you for this review! Comment from : @erickibarra2395 |
Confused Why would they have pop songs if you’re learning guitar? Surely they would have Rock, metal or country 🤷♂️ Comment from : @scottsmith6235 |
I thinks its decent for a beginner Comment from : @fayizv9202 |

I have been using Yousician for learning ukulele and guitar My main instrument is bass, which I have been learning with a teacher for about 4 years now In my situation (having a solid grasp on music theory and another stringed instrument) you can get a lot out of Yousician Comment from : @balinttoth2339 |

Need more actual screen shots of the product and a more detailed discussion of lessons etc at this point I really don't know if I even want to try it out A comparison with rock smith 2014 and other apps again with screen shots would be a good place to start also a list of other apps to evaluate Comment from : @drpc98014 |

The app gives beginners structure and feedback i feel like that is helpful with something so overwhelming as learning guitar I don’t think watching random vids on youtube would do the same Comment from : @adderall7104 |
I'm using JustinGuitar right now, and I like it He really explains things well, and his site structure is quite good I used to have Rocksmith, which is similar to Yousician It was ok I suppose, but it seemed buggy with the interface between the guitar and game console It also didn't really seem to go too deep into theory and such I'm one of those guys that really needs a real person to show and explain things to me Comment from : @DavidSmith-xz4zz |

@charlescleyn Thanks for the review! I have 2 kids, 7 & 9 and each are becoming interested in learning instruments The older one wants to learn guitar while my younger is interested in piano I see this video is a few years old, so I’d love to lean on the knowledge you may have obtained in the past few years What do you think the best way is to get a young child started with piano & guitar, outside of formal lessons? Could you list your favorite resources for both piano & guitar that would be good for a young kid? Not sure if you’re still making videos, but perhaps that’s a good topic for a new video Thanks for any info you share! Comment from : @jeffpatterson1173 |
Why does every single app or service have to pay to learn how to play the guitar 🤔 what if an individual has limited income and can’t afford to pay to learn Comment from : @linkmasters535 |
I think I'm just going to get tab books from artists I want to learn from and theory books And not even search for tabs online It's probably useful But I just prefer doing it the way I'm familiar with Comment from : @chriszablocki2460 |
Genuine question is there a good option for a live in person learning YouTube doesn't work for me and would really like a teacher who can help me with feed back Comment from : @Marshmallowdeer |
Until I’ve used yousician I haven’t been learning the guitar only memorizing how to play specific songs, it’s about making good habits and learning skills not memorizing notes Comment from : @apollocormo8383 |
Im in my early 30s, do you think it can still help me learn scales & how to improvise solos? Have a bg in playingelectric guitar but not that great Comment from : @madeguzman2578 |
The way they break things up helped me learn the time signatures easierbrI remember some of the morebradvanced lessons made sense after the silly one note things you showedbrIt builds on the song eventuallybrbrSomeone like you knows too much already to get it I think LoLbrI mean that politely and respectfully, not a put down at all Comment from : @NubsWithGuns |
I'm new to Yousician I like to switch between practicing the lessons and playing/practicing songs, that I like Some of the lessons can be a chore to get through, but the songs keep you invested Comment from : @heinejohansen5450 |
I'm a published Hollywood songwriter, pianist, studio recording artist, etc I have my own tech and media company but haven't had a lot of time to work on my technique lately The best thing Yousician does for me is that it brings my music projects back on a conscious level and motivates me to practice more and learn more things For me, it's more of a refresher course to revisit and/or improve my instrumentation I also went through some of the singing tutorial but I made a hundred on all of those I need to work on my instrument techniques more So for me it's a great thing I would also recommend this to young people who are just starting out on a new instrument and it might even improve the technique of a beginning band student for example who might be behind in school band Great product! 🎉🎉 Comment from : @smalltownglobalproductions |

Hello mate, I’ve just bought it and am a massive fan of Ed Sheeran I’ve wanted to learn for ages and I’ve took the step and bought a guitar and started with Yousician brbrDo you think it helps and do you have any advice for me, trying to impress a girl so 🤣 Comment from : @WCUK2020 |
It seems to me the visual aid Yousician provides might keep some people from developing there ear It’s easily fixed by playing with other musicians and just playing along with the song on like iTunes or Spotify Comment from : @matt-fn9gr |
How to unsubscribe it Comment from : @Syed_Shafaat |
It definitely helps with accuracy and timing For a few hundred a year is very reasonable and far cheaper than paying some "guitar teacher" to show off in front of you and teach you his bad habits Comment from : @teechable |
I tried Yousician and also simply guitar and honestly I felt like I learned more on simply guitar Like I’m just starting an Yousician a lot of times will give me songs or random tabs that are just out of my skill level so it’s either I butcher that song or play it in slow motion for an hour or more till I finally get it But SimplyGuitar I feel like does a way better job at teaching you Every song I play on it feels like it’s just barely out I my skill level but towards the end of the song I start picking it up and I actually feel like I’m progressing Yousician it felt like a chor using it and simply guitar is actually fun for me I will say the tuner on Yousician is way better though and also on Yousician I don’t have to have the phone up against the amp for it to pick up the notes and sounds unlike simply guitar So I will agree Yousician is built really well Comment from : @xaphan8581 |

Or even rocksmith 2014 edition remastered Comment from : @Guitarprincess284 |

I can see how it would be weird for you but do you think it would be good for someone who has pretty much never picked up a guitar? Comment from : @LordOfFartz |
I start to learn uckulele on internet during my holidays but there was to many levels I stopped and restarted on Yousician one year later Its help me to play to my level each day this discipline is very important, o i would defenetely recommend it for beginners Comment from : @ukrainegermanysingforukrai5888 |

great review matebrsome con that you missed - yousician force you to look at the screen and not at guitar and your hands when you learn a song and especially when you learn to play an instrument you need to develop mind muscle connection thats comes with practice but when you are practicing you need to see what actually you are doing to react Comment from : @vadimf8301 |
I've been using Yousician for nearly 6 years It's very addictive and has great instant feedback which is totally priceless BTW I'm in 2 gigging bands now as lead guitarist Comment from : @Sparkey4646 |
Very shallow review mate You played, what? Two beginners lessons? Well done for wasting 15 min of my life Won't be coming back to your channel As apparently 15 min is enough to make up one's opinion on the subject brBye Friend Comment from : @skavellion2799 |
35 & starting bass Though not an alternative to a teacher - for pointing out mistakes and correcting bad habits and a lot many more things - the single biggest advantage is - play anytime of the day Play fun things, start a challenge Motivation galore Comment from : @chandermohan7531 |
I strongly disagree that the biggest con is that it has beginners just plucking certain strings at first In order to play a chord, you have to be able to pick the strings correctly So for a complete beginner it's certainly going to be useful to first teach how to properly pick the strings so it almost becomes second nature when it comes time to learn how to play chords Comment from : @jclevey3806 |
Yousician is amazing! Comment from : @roezelt1 |
I personally love Yosician, I am a huge gamer and the gamified approach that the app offers is fun and engaging for myself Not to mention it's full of great knowledge I just started playing about three or four days ago and I had no idea what fret was, what different strings on the guitar were called, or what different chords were such as E minor or A minor The app taught me a plethora of knowledge that was easy for me to understand I could constantly go back and forth to different lessons slow down songs speed up songs and it was encouraging to see my score rise as I continued to practice As of now I've been playing non-stop for 3 days It's the point that my fingertips are literally sensitive and sore to the touch If it wasn't for that I would still be playing right now Comment from : @Joseph-wh5of |

Great insights Anyone have any thoughts on Yousician vs Simply Guitar for a complete beginner? Comment from : @avish692 |
Yousician sucks man it won’t even pick up the sounds of my guitars whether I tune it up or down and I’m filling everything on learning the steps so I think maybe the app needs an update or it just glitches out Comment from : @PapaJGamez |
So as a bare minimum basic guitar player I can play the basic chords basically is it worthwhile to progress? Comment from : @duncaninnes2179 |
I use the app for the basics to learn on the guitar And I get along pretty good After half a year I can play a lot of songs And I had a lot of issues with the rhythm And the app helped me a lot Comment from : @klopfer_im_baellebad |

I think its really good I am absolute beginner Am playing a big ole dreadnought acoustic I pulled back due to price was it worth it? I tried youtube, I didnt get on with justin guitar at all I cant see what fingers he is using on what strings but yousician, its great I am making progress far beyond what I expected Ok my fingers hurt, but the joy playing chords and riffs its amazing to me i love it Comment from : @niksgee |
Thanks man! I appreciate this honest review I had never heard of Yousician until just the other day when I saw Metallica post on IG stating that they were being added to Yousician's artist series, and you could learn to "play like Metallica!" which got me excited, but now I'm not so sure There are plenty of videos of how to play Metallica songs on YouTube already Comment from : @DRTyD |
Im a video gamer, so yousician is tailored for me to have fun while doing the learning process of an instrument I love yousician and it definitely is a great experience for a start! I definitely see how it would be better for lessons online or outside the app for fixing posture and beginner mistakes ect plus moving on to being more of an intermediate since apps can only go so far This is my second month learning guitar ALSO, i love seeing it record my playtime on the app, makes me want to add more hours to my profile to flex lol Comment from : @KyleLeonhart |
If you can learn without external feedback, more power to you Videos have their place, but not getting feedback i find to be torture learning Comment from : @delbomb3131 |
It saddens me as yousician sounds decent but as a partially sighted guitarist (self taught) it seems near impossible to use effectively Comment from : @hikagevonblitz8151 |

I don’t mind to learn as a game The question is if the game is removed will I be able to play on my own without the app? Comment from : @Thereisalwaysmore |

I began playing guitar at age 17 I was performing live shows, improvising gypsy jazz solos and shit but I got a severe brain injury at age 23 that got me paralysed from the left hand I actually use yousician as a hand reeducation tool the problem I find is that I don't see any real progress to play without the software that's kind of annoying perhaps i'll try more doing scales and chords without any backtrack to see if I progress better this way Comment from : @mathieulapointe7147 |
Never, never, NEVER contract with this company We cancelled our plan every month for over a year and I am STILL being charged! Very angry! Comment from : @marychannell9407 |

Thanks for this video Glad I saw it I agree this looks too much like a game Nobody one notes there way through a song like I've seen in other videos on this system And at the price they want it's so easy to say pass I'll keep looking Comment from : @Mark-OutWest |
