My kids who are now adults do not speak to their dad He never consistently paid child support , he never parented , he never checked in on them I worked non stop to support them but didn’t even have to ever say a bad word about him Now he is sick and sits around saying his kids are evil because they don’t reach out I don’t get how any mother or father wouldn’t just do everything for their kids

Through my experience child support is based on income & time having physical custody of child $400 is doable most pay more He should thank his lucky stars he doesn’t have to pay Alimony too As time goes on the child might decide to live with his father so the child support would definitely stop
