Kind of funny that there are so many vids on the 1911 when we hear how 'useless' and 'outdated' they are LOL I have the Colt government and an old Kimber I favor the Government hammer and beavertail not the girly small hammer and odd looking beavertail Only thing better than a Government 1911 is a revolver Grips? mine are always ivory or bone or stag All 1911's and revolvers deserve fancy grips My Kimber is a very early custom 2 and yes it is extremely accurate rivaling my Python and 19 target I have over 15k rounds through this gun guts are Wilson combat at this point Stag grips are the classic grips that work well like 'G10' but not ugly Grips? LOL my grips box is large and full tried almost everything on everything In order of importance looks feel grippy or smooth depending natural materials are about all I use The very worst grips I have used are rubber I really hate that material on a grip wrong in every way but cheap! real cheap and not even worth the pennies it takes to make em Worse even than a plastic gun

Good list but at the same time why the hell doesn't any of these lists ever include an Ed Brown 1911? They are some of the best 1911s made, period! I have never shot a 1911 that tames the recoil of a 45acp like an Ed Brown Not to mention they have one of the best triggers on the market, period! Their accuracy is second to none and their craftsmanship is just off the charts when you read about their tight quality controls, and their match specs I shot a Special Forces edition which isn't even one of the most expensive Ed Browns and yet it blew every other 1911 I have ever shot out of the water! I shot Kimber, Sig, Springfield, Smith Wesson, Dan Wesson, Ruger, and Remington None of them even compare to an Ed Brown!
