Radar speed guns are calibrated using tuning forks, that should register a specific speed if the gun is properly calibrated In theory, each specific ringing coin should register a specific speed on a radar speed gun every time A speed gun is alot cheaper than an XRF and should serve as a quick check Have not tried this, but shoud work if the coin rings at a frequency that is within the radar speed gun's detection range

At about 11:30 you stated that the American gold eagle is 90 gold and 10 copper The actual composition is 9167 gold, 300 silver, and 533 copper The Krugerrand is 9167 gold and 833 copper, that's why they have a more reddish coloration It would be interesting to see the analysis that your XRF tester produces on these two types of coins Maybe for another video

I have used the Bullion Test App for Android phones for both of these coins It's about $3 and gives you several gold and silver coins to ping test for the correct frequencies I also use a sensitive weight scale, digital calipers, specific gravity, visual test, a precious metal verifier and all that too You don't have to be a pro with a trained ear to ping test! I absolutely depend on it for several coins (including morgan's/peace dollars)
