unless she is buying her supply exclusivly from the US mint or a bullion dealer, her margins are MUCH higher The question t ask would be a bit simpler " If i walk into your store tomorrow with a tenth ounce Gold eagle how much UNDER SPOT are you going to offer me Or HOW much under premium are you going to offer mebrI have been in a host of we buy gold places and coin shops pretending mot to know anything at all jut to see what I would be offered for a tenth ounce , half ounce or whole ounce and the result are almost always the same A HUGE loss with a diatribe about needing spreads ANYWAY today for example Gold was being bought at a shop for $25 per penny weight which is less than HALF of the real spot value of $5787!! A great coin shop will be closer to the Kitco Buy back I am not saying that this lady has such a HUGE spread but for this video to be actually helpful to an investor the question needs to be asked ALSO any gold that comes into the store really that is from a decade or more ago generally has almost no numismatic value and there certainly there is not premium that is based upon what the treasury department or the mint is charging It may be true for current coins but no way for anything from the past TOSE prices are higher because of supply and demand NOT the mint to buy tenth ounce coins is an crazy waste of money with huge "premiums" Comment from : @georgeraddison8787 |

One thing to consider when buying PM's What is your exit strategy? Just about every country these days have government cash payment reporting requirements Here in Australia spend more than $5000 cash and a permanent record is kept with the merchant $10,000 cash and it is reported to the government So one needs to consider how below the radar they want to fly given Gold (as an example) is a long term investment, you don't want to find that in the future your 1 ounce coin cashed in is flagged by the government and suddenly you are under government scrutiny This is why I buy small amounts for personal use My company buys much larger amounts Comment from : @kurjan1 |
