I am 53, just signed up for swim lessons It cost $120 Hope it will help me be prepared for my upcoming vacation I am self taught, and don't feel comfortable in larger bodies of water I actually love water too!

I’m a scuba diver who learn to swim when I was a kid I had an equipment malfunction when I was diving 5 years ago and drown I was rescue and brought back to life Now I panic in the water to the point that I can’t swim because my body is too tense and sink like a rock I think my problem is psychological and not physical How can I fix it?

I’m 18 and I’m scared to learn how to swim! Because I tried it one time and I couldn’t exhale in the water which caused me to kinda sink!? It was so scary…because of that I inhaled water? It was not good…and it’s kind of awkward that as 18 year old I’m not able to swim and because of this I just avoid to swim…

Never be afraid to wear goggles! Many people's fear is opening their eyes underwater Even Olympic swimmers wear them I was never scared to dive underwater so learning to swim was easy for me

I am 21 years old and have severe anxiety around the water because when I was little my 3 older sisters used to hold me underwater until I would start breathing in water It's always embarrassing going to the pool and being the only adult there wading or floating on a pool noodle Looks like I'm not as alone as I thought 😊

I liked the idea of swimming growing up but I couldn't ever afford lessons and did land sports like long distance running I can't run anymore and I have enough fat on my body I can float every which way without treading and that makes me excited! So I'm signing up for swim classes soon so I can learn the strokes well enough to swim laps for excersise These videos are helpful!

I've been swimming regular 3 to 4xs a week, 45 years now since the early days that I was in a life saving club Now i am 70 yr old I always had limited shoulder mobility especially on front crawl ( S ) pull with a high elbow is a no go for me I found out a lot later on I was a lot better using the johnny weissmuller ( i ) pull catch pressure, arms straight down and straight back
