As a student of our American economy for 60 years now, there is a lie told about the creation of the FED Reserve Before it's creation, individual banks could set interest rates and how much capital they had to have Congress set up the Federal Reserve by taking away some of the banks ability to set interest rates and how much in reserves the banks had to have in relation to how much they could loan out They did not give this authority to the FED The FED was our government taking away some of the banks prior total authority under state laws to set interest rates and amount of capital to be held So the FED is actually the limited amount of control our government has over the banks private money and interest and capital decisions Congress and President Theodore Roosevelt wanted total government control of our economy Is that a good idea? Politicians having total control over our nation's private money? You sure?
