Which weed eater did I miss? Comment from : @TheLawnReview |
I don't understand how Greenworks beat Ryobi when Ryobi finished first cutting the straws The final should had been EGO and Ryobi Specially how Ryobi outperformed the Greenworks in the Edger Evaluation (4th vs 6th) and the Obstacle (2nd vs 4th) and only lost in the charging time Comment from : @CHiTO316 |
This was a good video Time to repost it Comment from : @professorbriandidyouknow |
While the gas trimmer ran 45 mins i can fill mine back up in less than 5 mins and be going again Most of us have a supply of gas mixed up so putting a run to the gas station in the time is dumb Comment from : @Evanx373 |
Is Stihl the gas powered one because I don't think I can use that we have no storage unit for it It would smell like gas in our house and we don't want that We don't have a garage either I plan on getting an Ego I have the Ego lawn mower and that is awesome I just need another battery and they run you around 30 to like 60 dollars a pop Please tell me you didn't use Costco chickens That would be a complete waste Comment from : @uhavemooface |
So Ridgid & Makita aren't good? I'm amazed how Ryobi made the list but not these two lol Comment from : @DoctorRickSanchez |
Was the Ego the 25Ah or 40Ah? Comment from : @carguyeyedoc |
I’m digging these review channels especially ones that are well thought out like this brWelcome to the club, You’ve got my sub! Comment from : @gregbeck906 |
I like my EGO WEEDEATER Comment from : @tambrasmith4199 |
Dewalt is the worst lawn care brand on the market Comment from : @stevennihipali3607 |
No milwaukee? Dude Comment from : @stevennihipali3607 |
Is Bauer any good ? Comment from : @Airon79 |
These are considered cordless so as to not confuse them with electrics , though you still did a good job What do you think of the Atlas cordless 40v or 80v ? Comment from : @Airon79 |
What model stihl were you using Comment from : @bobnewhart4318 |
I'd probably pick at the back of a chicken or two Comment from : @kertbert1 |
Random question What is the difference in shaft diameter in the milwaukee and ego? I want to use the milwaukee packout long tool organizer for my ego; but sounds like nothing bigger than the milwaukee trimmer will fit Wasn't sure if there was a difference between the two Comment from : @kalebclifton9248 |
Why are you wearing your hat backwards inside? Comment from : @fodank |
This is so flawed Comment from : @843OutdoorsSC |
EGO knows best 🥇😎 Comment from : @Lightnin42 |
How do these compare to the 60V Toro? Comment from : @maranello81 |
I do not know if we can use it for comparison, but DeWalt has some attachments you can use One of those attachments is an edge trimmer And I suspect that their brush cutter attachment might be kinda rough on chickens 🙂 Comment from : @hereandthere9023 |
Come back in a year and tell how great that EGO is My $32900 Ego won't wind the line correctly, won't feed it correctly Just put a new $5000 trimmer head and it was better for about a week I spend more time dinking with it than using it Worst choice ever Five year warranty means squat when all they do is give you the run around Comment from : @TheWildDawgs |
Your science teachers would be proud of you understanding how to set up this sort of comparison Comment from : @NatuProg |
I bought a 40V blower and trimmer pack together 4 years a go plus and am just now putting new line on the trimmer The GreenWorks customer Service fellow said the GreenWorks is the same machine as Kobalt Comment from : @DougHinVA |
I’ll pay 500$ for a used srm 225 before I run anything electronic Comment from : @freedomisntfree_44 |
How tall are you? You're bending quite a bit with most of the tools, that's exhausting if working for more than a few mins Are any of them adjustable for length? Comment from : @kimennis4369 |
Long term, I'll still take my Milwaukee trimmer over any other battery powered trimmer Comment from : @ronwhited1224 |
First thing I saw was some had barely any string sticking out Comment from : @TrippHalford |
Verry bad test, nothing fix good Comment from : @AndréTraversy-p4r |
Hey thanks for all the time you spent on this and equipment analysis Made my decision a little easier Keep up the great work! EGO Comment from : @joeredtoro |
This isn’t accurate go to a field and try this again Comment from : @stanggangcelus4641 |
Someone got paid off to decide a “winner” Comment from : @anthonyjohnson100 |
The trimmer is just one part of the one or two battery systems you get married into When batteries get old, even if never used, they die after 3-5 years The battery can cost more than the tool, so you need to evaluate a whole line of tools and choose the best SYSTEM Or spend $500 a year on new batteries as they die from all the brands in your collection Comment from : @RyanK-100 |
Well, the Stihl and the Milwaukee will take off your foot at the ankle if you're not careful Might even take down a wood fence post! Comment from : @RyanK-100 |
Good video but horrible battery test It means nothing if they don’t have the same amp hours Comment from : @Jared-Kreate |
Wtf? Dewalt wins every other comparison test and its one of the oldest here, smallest charger they make too against a double fast charge milwaukee? Hope the kickback was worth this bullshit Comment from : @nathanwilkins7288 |
Toro has a trimmer Comment from : @josephpuchel6497 |
How is it you "experts" don't realize Weed Eater is a Trade Marked Brand Name of one particular item that in reality isn't even in business any longer! The tool is called a T R I M M E R!🤡 Comment from : @charlesbeall2589 |
I just bought the EGo yesterday before seeing this…… good to know I can rip through a chicken if I want to Comment from : @acpudman |
Electric ones save money on batteries Comment from : @teresaallen3045 |
will never go back to gas trimmer Other tools gas engine is more powerful but ego trimmers are better in battery Comment from : @gravewalker34 |
This is so unaccurate first my stihl destroys everything, second that's not how you edge your lawn, third my stihl runs for almost an hour and a half with no problem and it's the same model Comment from : @Someone91741 |
No stihl gas fans in the comments??? Comment from : @Someone91741 |
Does the greenworks have a selfie in head Comment from : @Bossman211 |
Great job on the video Comment from : @matthewsottile8877 |
The KOBALT 80V is Brutal, but requires a Big Boy Cut String head All "Honey I'm doing the Driveway" heads SUCK! Bump and Grind is Bump and Dump the whole damn thing ALL OF THEM! Comment from : @markhall3434 |
U leave echo out how dare u so it isn't the ultimate showdown 😂😂 Comment from : @mrme9517 |
Normally a kobalt fan but that weed eater is one of the biggest pieces of junk I’ve ever bought Comment from : @94hkd |
Weed Eater is a trademarked brand of trimmer Comment from : @OriginalWhiteDevil |
I bought a ego yesterday went and cut my neighbor yard which is small and only about 10 min of trimming the weedeater battery died I was so pissed brought it back thinking bad battery got a new weedeater same dam thing no more battery operated pieces of crap for me Comment from : @jp-us9rq |
I have the Kobalt 40volt, hate it,but it would have been a closer comparison to the other models Mixing battery size kind of ruins the accuracy of your tests Comment from : @stanlee7635 |
I’ve used ego products You can’t go wrong with them Their trimmers self feed and work great Their blower’s are top notch as well Comment from : @nevermindme8922 |
Milwaukee ok but if the motor gets even the slightest bit warm it starts shutting down until it cools off Otherwise it’s ok Comment from : @azimmey |
Great video I was very surprised to see Milwaukee rise up there as it seems to be a forgotten brand with the battery operated tools That said, I'm picking a battery powered string trimmer based also on the battery sharing with a new drill driver (did not purchase yet), so Ego is out Is Milwaukee the winner here?! I would have thought Dewalt or Ryobi Comment from : @AndersStudio |
awesome video man Comment from : @JustinKortuem |
Milwaukee has a bunch of inter changeable tools to use same battery with I lean that way Comment from : @Cutty007 |
Excellent Review! Comment from : @postont |
Love my Ryobi! It didn't come with a 6ah like you tested with only a 4ah, but I can trim edge and blow my property and still have 2 sometimes 3 bars Comment from : @cm5023 |
Damn…and I was considering a Kobalt 😞 Comment from : @oliverkalamata2753 |
Thank you for doing a comparison video I would have rather seen how they did in real grass, tall weeds etc Instead of straw and chicken? Comment from : @MzStephanie |
hilarious and helpful Thanks for buying all those rotisserie chickens Comment from : @lionaround007 |
I never really comment on YouTube videos but THIS ONE was very creative and entertaining!! Best trimmer review I’ve ever seen The chicken segment was incredible 😂 “Kobalt doesn’t even get a number” Comment from : @JarrodHatch-q9v |
Picked Milwaukee FTW before watching the video Turns out my Ego purchases 2 years ago were on point Loving all of them Thanks for the entertainment Comment from : @johnheath8882 |
Would it not of made more sense to have used the Stihl battery unit as that would of been much more informative? Comment from : @jimmymiller4732 |
The real test is operation 1-2 years after purchasebrGas powered trimmers will not experience battery degradation Comment from : @michaelwojcicki3624 |
I'm curious about the performance of the Senix X6 product Comment from : @llovetool |
This was something interesting to watch until you added the dumb ass chickenswtf man I just lost interest in your video because of a useless category Comment from : @one234569and10 |
Are you sure you linked to the right EGO trimmer? To me it looks like the one you use has the Line IQ head and the 1511 you linked doesn't seem to have that Comment from : @The77Game |
I had just bought the Ryobi weed eater the day before I watched this I didn't even get through the front yard before the battery died Plus, it wasn't that great as far as power You'd have to make several passes Returned it after watching this video and got the Ego No comparison ! Way Stronger and finished the yard with battery left Thanks for the video So very helpful Comment from : @lvilliankriss |
Makita 368 is the best 👍😀👍 Comment from : @Warfa1r |
do the battery powered ones actually cut through a decent size weed or brush?bror are these for the pristine manicured yard? Comment from : @GoldFoilDecendent |
Is the Ego the 15" or 16"? Below in comments looks like you said 16" Links still shows the 15" Awesome review, sooo helpful Will buy the Ego, please advise on model and size Thanks very much!! Comment from : @davewarnick1285 |
This is the best review video I've ever seen!! Comment from : @revelationsaint968 |
Greenworks is soo underrated too bad Ego has a bunch of marketing behind it Comment from : @yonugG23 |
On your edging test, it looks like you were nearly resting the DeWalt trimmer head in the grass I'm guessing you had really short line or something In any case, that DeWalt trimmer if used normally would have smoked the edging test Comment from : @plancesheldon4315 |
I have 13 acres consisting of almost every strong weed known to our region My EGO wipes them out without fail However, I’ve never carved a chicken so I cannot rate it in that department Comment from : @louislandi938 |
the ego trimmer is what turned me on to that brand about 4 or 5 years ago and I was so blown away is the brand I go to for everything now Still using mine with the original 25 ah battery with no issues but got bigger batteries now that came with other ego tools I got over the years Comment from : @kchal0 |
Can any of em use the Blades I got the Greenworks one but don't know if it can use the Brush Blade Comment from : @badassuchiha4875 |
On the Ego, you used a rapid charger that didn't come with the trimmer It looks you charged it using a 550 W charger when it comes with a 320 W charger in a kit Using the kit charger, the charging time will be longer Comment from : @seannoh672 |
Great video Would have been interested in comfort particularly Vibration Milwaukee you linked was the wrong model You have the 2825, but linked the 2828 which has the motor on the head Comment from : @elecengineer1422 |
I have had 2 ego power load string trimmers and both had the power load feature failed Which is unfortunate since that is kind of the main feature on it Comment from : @opfor5092 |
Why does the title say electric but these are battery? Comment from : @nedgo-65 |
I use gas but watched this for fun Isn’t the Dewalt the one that Project Farm named best for battery trimmers? Comment from : @corvettetexan |
If I ever need to shred chicken with a string trimmer, I know which to get but my Ryobi 40v string trimmer edges and trims nicely Comment from : @ImNotMC |
I have the DeWALT DCST972X1 60V MAX 20v/60v Flex volt battery powered trimmer and it came with a 9AH battery, the battery is bigger than a brick, I can do my whole front and back yard with only using 30 of the battery, and I also changed the line to Max power twisted 095 trim line and this thing is so much better than my gas one x10, no gas, no engine noise, no pulling, no mixing oil, no worrying about the carburetor, no filter, no gas lines and no smell, no trip to the gas station, no smoke, no burning 👀👀 Comment from : @XerxezsX |
Just bought my ego power load with line iq! Can't wait to use this bad boy! Comment from : @midwestmortgageman |
Bro you do know kobalt makes a 40v right?? I can do a whole 1/2 acre and its really not hard to restring them Comment from : @jeffgietl2086 |
Really trying to convince myself why I would want to change my battery platform from Ryobi to Milwaukee, but you totally showed how the red rocket is superior to the Ryobi mediocre machine Thanks, quite helpful Comment from : @bobstuart7169 |
I own the exact EGO used in this video It is powerful, basically as powerful as my gas powered trimmer The one thing that took a while to get used to is the automatic string feed - the unit senses when the string is short and automatically, without the user having to do anything, feeds new string Its amazing at how well it works but takes a bit to adjust to because the string goes from short to suddenly full length, increasing it length 3 inches or so Thus, depending on what you are using it for, such as edging, that sudden additional 3 inches of string will initially dig deep and kick up dirt until you adjust the distance I've learned to anticipate it when the string gets to a certain length Its a great feature because the string literally never gets tangled but it takes several uses for the operator to adjust to the autofeed Its a great product and very powerful Comment from : @treydrier3169 |
I am uncertain about the validity of these tests, as there seems to be a complete lack of discussion regarding the pricing of each model and the additional cost of an extra battery In this current economic climate, such considerations should be included Furthermore, I strongly believe that gas-powered equipment should not have been included in these tests, as it is an entirely different entity However, since you have already included a Stihl gas weed wacker, why not also incorporate a corded weed wacker? Comment from : @LongHuII |
What is with the hate on the ryobi? I own the 40v and 18v versions, mega easy to load, lots of power, great run time i have no idea what could be missing while using it lol Get some nice trimmer line and youre golden Thing is a beast Maybe you forgot to flip it into high mode bro 😂 Comment from : @AlexKstar2025 |
Great video! Honestly, that chicken was the most helpful (and entertaining) test for me to make a decision😄 Comment from : @syrpentina |
I have a 56v ego and a Sthil fs56 and I almost want to say I feel like the ego have more power and it definitely does better in tall grass Grass don’t wrap around the head of that ego like a conventional weed eater Comment from : @fishingwithdj2844 |
I have the Milwaukee it doesn't seem like it takes that long to charge even the 12mah battery I also have the most powerful Echo brush cutter you can buy the Milwaukee is as powerful if not more Milwaukee is way lighter and doesn't kick when you hit real heavy grass it just cuts I also have the Milwaukee mower just gonna say it's the best push mower I've ever used Comment from : @adamant8683 |
