My sense is that either of these guitarists; can make beautiful sounds even if they were playing the cardboard boxes that these guitars were originally shipped in! Is it possible they love these guitars because of the “MOJO” and their history, maybe it gives them inspiration to play even better But to my ear; many of the modern guitars on the higher end (gulp) sound better than these vintage rigs And that could be my lower level of expertise also I wonder if when you get really good, you can hear or feel an improvement when it comes to vintage Tele ‘s And my ignorance is detracting from my ability to hear what they do Any thoughts, guys? Any Custom Shop Tele will sound awesome, but put in some great Custom Shop pickups or Lindy Fralins / Lollar's in a Mexican Tele, and you're on your way for the biggest part really purely talking about tone/sound brMy Player Deluxe and Elite sound almost exactly the same because they (now) have the same pickups, but the price difference for the guitars was about 1200 euro's 🥴 Heck, they even feel the same due to the rolled off edges, very similar necks Comment from : @supersonicsroots |

I'm on a roll I think the Captain's comment about liking or disliking relic guitars was SPOT ON! That's EXACTLY why I don't like them However, the idea that a nitro finish on a new guitar would give me the opportunity to create my own stories about how all the dings got there DOES appeal to me I think it's interesting that Lee and Pete would pay more for a relic job so that they don't treat the guitars so preciously as one that wasn't relic Is it just me? Although the point is now moot, given how much time has passed since this video was made However, regarding all the negative comments about Rob, I must say I'm very disappointed Let's not forget that it was the Captain and Chappers that started this YouTube channel It was the chemistry and honesty of those 2 men that has helped, and continues to help us make decisions about our equipment As for Rob's playing style, he does what he does He isn't trying to be everything to everyone It's like complaining that an R&B player can't shred Yes, there are players who are versatile, and can play a lot of different styles But I'm sure most of those people wouldn't claim to be as good in any one genre as someone who specializes I'm don't play that progressive style, but I appreciate those that do That's all I have to say about that I have another moot point with regard to the specs The bridge pickup is the nocaster and the neck pickup is the twisted tele They said it was the other way around Why is this important to me?
