My brother works at Rikers in NY, as a regular correction officer at top pay after 5 years of service he was making over 100,000k with minimal overtime , now 15 years later hes an Assistant Deputy Warden making around 150k

I was a CO in Ohio from 2014-2018 I made $1550 per hour You can make a crapload more hustling in the inmate market; but of course that is illegal There were a couple guys I trusted and did a little business with them I only dealt in small harmless items I could order from Wish One of the big sellers were these little Chinese handheld game consoles that had a few hundred retro games pirated on them I got them for $18 each and sold them for $100, and they always paid in cash I think they sold them for $1000

When i worked for tdcj i was with the mcot team (mobile team) we would get an extra 674 $ for food & we weren’t just at a unit, it was mainly transport, we’d rack up an extra 800-1k due to overtime

I live in the state of Georgia and I was asked by a police officer once If I would be interested in being a prison guard, he gave me his card and told me to call him if I wanted to It's understandable though I'm 6'3 and have a decent muscle build and I have aged looking face of a blue collar worker I'm 20 years old for reference
