 Your advice on mentors is very good During this past year I have hired two career/life coaches I already knew the general direction of my career and had 5-10 year plans I had hit a wall and hadn't even updated my resume in about 4 years I needed help moving on what was important and realizing what wasn't, applicant tracking systems, etc Both provided useful input Do you have a video on how to engage mentors?

 Many thanks for this! A few yrs ago, I got a career coach (someone who I had coached a group of job searchers at a local church) & it was unfortunately a waste of money He mostly talked about himself & had me take irrelevant tests (which would have been more appropriate for a recent college grad) Since I wanted to “believe” he was good at what he said, it took me about 4 mths to evaluate his advice Thank goodness I was able to cancel That said, I’m sure there are good ones out there
