Yes but not all Jamaicans have access to gardens with yams etc in Kingston everything is bought usually, folks with resources in Kingston would be selling those resources mostly

We have gone to Jamaica every year (2-3 times a year) for the last 20 years We had been thinking about buying a house there for years, and in early 2020 we felt compelled to start looking as we wanted to have options of places to live besides the US We ultimately found a went thru the process of purchasing a home there I'll post about it soon, but *take a look a the link to our house there in my bio--that's the link to the house we bought, which we Airbnb throughout the year* It's a lot as we're not there full time, but worth it We have someone who lives in a separate small house on-property throughout the year We are considering the steps to take to live there full time, BTW, my husband has dual citizenship (through his grandmother who was Jamaican) But anyone can buy in Jamaica, I don't think there are any restrictions on who can buy property there Peace to everyone

We have just got back from are sixth holiday day in Jamaica a few days ago I always wondered how the hotel we stay at makes a profit being all-inclusive the food and drinks we consume would cost us more if we holiday in the UK we don't think twice about leaving to air conditioning on in the room all day also have hot showers the is a lot of staff at the hotel who work very hard to make your stay very pleasant your if you stay in the hotel you don't need money but we take Jamaica dollars so we can buy some souvenirs for the vendors in the beach huts and tip the staff but you can not put a price one the fantastic beeches and scenery

I live in Texas and have a good job However, everything you mentioned for survival point of view in Jamaica is a lot cheaper than living here in Texas Based on your USA financial chart, I would be living comfortably in a house there, I prefer a condo or an apartment because I'm over owning a home 😊
