Iowa has a 5 cent bottle return Michigan has a 10 cent return So, a friend here in Iowa has relatives in Michigan and when he goes for a visit he fills his pickup box with the Iowa cans I heard that the MI redemption center saw his license plates and refused his cans! Serves him right for being such a cheap ass

I’m a teen in high school and I collect cans on the weekend I live in Illinois and we don’t have any return centers so I have to settle for 040 cents a pound :(

I live in NY which has a 5Cent deposit on cans I normally return the cans for deposit We do have some aluminum cans that do not have a deposit on them, and I take those and crush them and save me up throughout the year in a 5 gallon bucket,, better off in my pocket than the cities in the recycling
