Timing- meaning "luck" sheer luck You cannot go zero to sixty in 60 days to get millions in funding in a new company It takes minimum 60 days in an offering period with an established, public market company The incumbents generally get funding before new entrants, meaning there is almost no way a new company- especially a company trying to innovate in the space can do this before the market cycle reverses brEveryone mentions uber, airbnb, wework- all these companies suck and do not make money- or didn't for a long time A handful (5-15) of companies in a country pushing 400 million people, that is not to be a benchmark or even a case study- these are outliers and should not be mentioned and their business model avoided
