I am trying to learn Guitar … from Ukulele I am getting on with even the dgbe baritone ((I restrung one of my two from gcea to dgbe)) My preferred sizes are 1/8th size, but I am managing 1/4 size I change all of my strings to classical I add the fret marker dots top and side I’m not young Actually, as of 2024, I’m turning 58 The music I prefer is classic country, classic rock, folk, blues, jazz, and olde tyme gospel Pagan would be my preferred, but I don’t do well with pieces I don’t know very-Very-VERY well, which is why older music fits brbrYou’ve only had 10 guitars?! 😲 I suppose I have “acquisition symdrome” I have 60, all ukuleles except a Guitalele, my Daddy’s Guitar plus three I just purchased I’ve only been playing since 2019 and guitar … a couple of months Yah I love my instruments ((and I built a few, too))! I do rather love my Ibanez electric/acoustic ukulele I love them all … —Angie 💚

What an interesting guide, you’ve got it absolutely right about an affair of the heart! If a guitar doesn’t tug at those strings (pun intended) it will probably become either a wall hanging or a cupboard queen! Another thing I would add to your advice is to make sure that your guitar is visible to you as much as possible so it’s calling you to pick it up!brI have a healthy collection, 10 in total - 3 Ukuleles including a Bass, 4 electric guitars including a Bass and 3 acoustic guitars including a Classical, one of them being Parlour size I have 3 Amps, one for Acoustic, one for Electric and one for Bass

im confused, i guess im doing something wrong, im trying to play a Fender Player Stratocaster electric, im looking up beginner guitar tutorials on youtube, 99 of the videos i watch are people playing acoustic guitars ive learned a few chords G C E D been practicing switching bettween them also been trying different strumming patterns, my problem is i sound VERY Acoustic! it sounds like a campfire song no body heard of, it sounds like Oasis, Ed Sheran, Taylor Swift, its not the sound i expected from a stratocaster! how do i get to playing like SLASH, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Helen, Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix, Zakk Wyld??? my G C E D chords sound nothing like it but of course i was taught with someone playing an Acoustic, am i learning it wrong because of that?

I am a classical guitarist Thank you giving information about acoustic,classical and electric guitar I prefer classical guitar as it gives the depth of music It gives harmony and melody Do you teach classical guitar and to what level I have short fingers and using 650mm length of fret board What if i use 635 mm or 3/4 size I have gone through your singing and it is so sweet to hear your voice I love your singing

I have three myself, an Epiphone J200 for most songs and Ibanez tuned down half step for grunge nirvana songs and a 3/4 Yamaha I take camping, I will add a electric to the collection once I find the one I want, I had classical once when I 1st started learning

Hello, Amber, I would add that the price of the guitar does not make the guitarist you have to practice to advance I recommend the guitar stand visible and not in the case so as to see it when you pass in front of it you want to play, on the classical guitar the smell of wood is so pleasant when it comes out of the rosette when you start to play, on the other hand, changing the strings on a classical guitar takes a long time to be stable to hold the tuning, which is not the case on a folk, I think that 10 guitar is not excessive but follows the evolution of the guitarist, Bravo for all these good advices, question is it your parents or your choice to make the guitar at seven years old?
