Landed a 12 lbs Chinook with the President and several steelhead! Tried 3 different Okuma and they all sucked Had to keep tightening the handle, the line kept catching the vail on another, another broke from being held together by plastic That was a while ago Maybe they figured it out?? I like a reverse switch on mine allows me to swim my spoons backwards in fast water!! Peace 🕊️☮️ Comment from : @allengray5748 |

Real story:brbrI (14) saw this video and liked the Acuma ceymar so I began to save up for it and when I showed my dad this video and he said that he found a fishing rod in a lake a week back and and I should check if it’s any good first It was that EXACT reel and it was still in brand new condition So now I’m rocking it on my ugly stick v2 👍 Comment from : @ericsmithjr5526 |

I love this video most of the time when other people do videos like this All of the reels are 90 or $100 I agree with all of the reels you put in the list and I also like to recommend the Daiwa revros 2500 H It is very inexpensive at around $40-$50 And I would compare it to most hundred dollar fishing reels Comment from : @Toolsareus |
Will you do an updated version of this every year or so? Also I’d like to see your favorite multispecies spinning rods Comment from : @ULFISHGETTER |

This is kinda old, but I used my presidente reel in saltwater all the time Just rinse if off right away It never hurt it Comment from : @mattkennedy837 |
How are you going to include the Sedona over the Nasci? Why is Sedona here but Daiwa Fuego LT 20' isn't? Comment from : @TheTwitchybird |
I found a Shimano Sedona 2000 for $38 because it was last item in my local outdoors store Looks like a great little reel Needless to say I bought it on the spot Comment from : @m373x |
you should say about its specification too not just why you like it Comment from : @adam-hc8ub |
IMO the last Pflueger President that was really good was the 6900 series The two recent versions have not been as good of a value or as good period I own both older and the newer versions and they just aren't as smooth anymore in the last two generations They don't start as smooth and they don't break in and get silky like the older ones😢 Comment from : @BobEllis79 |
Just scored the Daiwa Procyon AL 3000D brand new in box Never even had line on it for $70 @ a flea market, opened up the reel and like all Daiwas needed a lil oil and grease and it’s just soooooo smooth! And that ATD drag just sounds sooo good and smooth as butter! Comment from : @barryhowell9 |
Nasci has crappy handle compare to Daiwa ‘s I hated my nasci with so much play Comment from : @JohnDoe-pt5cr |
No pflueger president?? Wth man Comment from : @nasaman23 |
I’ll take the Shimano Nasci over the Sedona all day long So much better looking also…need to try a Daiwa reel Comment from : @bobgomavitz1330 |

What size reel is your Diawa Exceler? I just purchased the new Diawa 2000 LT but haven''t had a chance to try it yet (just got it in the mail today) Hope to use it for bass and wonder if you would have a suggestion as to what type of rod to use with it Comment from : @mikev5573 |
I am actually about to post a video covering this topic and it’s funny how different our lists are I see that as a good thing because it means that more companies are putting out quality budget products Comment from : @Tightt88 |
Daiwa Fuego LT can be found easily under $100 and is a superior reel than the Exceler Look out for the new 2023 models of Daiwa LT since you love em so much lol Comment from : @TTangOutdoors |
None of those reels are made for saltwater You said the penn is sealed Not so None of those reels are sealed! br Shimano nasci would be my top choice for under $100 You can find them under $100 Way better than any daiwa in that class Comment from : @Jessica37323 |
I have a Pfluger President my dad gave me and it's a nice little reel I also have a couple Diawa Revros in 2000 and 3000 sizes, and can't say anything bad about them They're light and smooth I also use a Penn Fierce 2000, 4000 and a 6000 with the bait runner switch and they're awesome for the money I have another Pfluger too but don't remember the name I haven't used the Pflugers in the saltwater yet but the others are used all the time in the Chesapeake Bay I only moved here about 3 months ago and so the Diawas haven't been really tested yet, but I've been using the 3000 almost exclusively for the last 2 weeks I got a 7 foot medium action fast tip Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore that's all graphite and the pair are a great lightweight sensitive combo that I can use Texas rigged soft plastics with It's important to have the right rod, I was using GX2'S and missing a lot of bites, getting less bites, and they're heavier The GX2's are fine for live bait and some lures but they suck for flounder jigging in my opinion Ever since I got that combo I've been just using it until I can get a couple more sensitive rods brAsk me in 6 months or a year and I'll tell you how the Revros hold up I got dragged across a grass flat in my kayak by a bigass stingray for about 15 minutes until I saw what it was for sure and got tired of it Unhooking a foul hooked big ray in a kayak alone is a dumb plan so I grabbed the spool and snapped my 10 lb braid But that Ugly Stik and Diawa dealt with something way heavier than they're intended for, zero issuesbrIf I recommend any reel it's always Penn and probably always will be for people who want durable stuff I usually buy them My Diawas came from my dad and a guy who wanted to sell one at a pier Otherwise they'd be Fierce's Comment from : @comfortablynumb9342 |
i have 2 Okuma Ceymars a 500 and a 1000 with baitrunners on them , i use them for icefishing on deadstick setups I have an okuma avenger also to do thisthey allow me to take my time and walk up to the rigs to et the fish since the line feeds out i regurarly use my president 500 on a UL rig, my Nexave reel is a really nice one on a UL setup too However, as far as my UL setups go, i have 2 BassPro Micro Lite Elite reels that are unmatched They have awesome drags, really loud AND really smooththey easily handle the occasional bonus huge fish while panfishing Comment from : @jonu8073 |
Why did the excelar make the list but not the shimano nasci? Same price, i have felt the nasci in store and it feels similar to the stradic Im not judging you or criticizing your vid (I enjoyed the vid), im just interested in your opinion on this Comment from : @michaelcoleman4700 |
Great Job And i agree with your review Comment from : @fishinfool63 |
I love my Daiwa regal 2000 It handles 6-8lb wipers with no problem and I do love Daiwas drag system Just thinking of the sound of drag peeling makes me wanna grab a pole and get out on the water Comment from : @JD-bu7vt |
I swear by phleuger, They are reel masters, I actually bought one during a sale at the fairgrounds and it's in great shape, While my current reel on my main rod is a bass pro elite I am planning on changing my bait reel to the phleuger! Great video, keep slaying them! Comment from : @thetroutslayer |
I like Shakespeare 50 Comment from : @terryhancock |
