Have you ever heard of coin dealers palming coins from a customer or replacing a valuable coin with a less valuable one of the same sort? What should a customer do if they take a coin in to be appraised with other coins and they cant find that coin when the dealer gives it back, or you find one of the same kind but not the back you remember on it After say they dropped it behind the counter? What would you do if you are not sure? Comment from : @johngalt4657 |

If you’re familiar with my channel, you know I go to a ton of coin shop videos I can verify that every single one has a different feeling I agree with you 100 regarding that comfort level being so important I’ve walked in some and felt welcomed immediately and I’ve walked in some and dealt with some very abrasive dealers Thankfully, I’ve found more good than bad Thanks for another excellent video!brThanks for sharing that Roundtable website! If someone has a $5000000 coin and you know that that coin is a $5000000 coin how much would offer that person for their coin Comment from : @myrtlehall4369 |

I had a dealer when I lived in NC that I trusted more than anything One day he proved his honesty to me He had a complete set of Barber Half walk in from an estate and paid what he thought was a fair price for it After business settle down he had time to look over everything again and realize he had an 1892 Micro O in the set He had me look over it and confirm it was a Micro O so he called the estate to let them know he owned them more money because of that one coin Comment from : @link6020 |

I really wish there was a nice comprehensive wiki of all of the coin shops in America I tried my zip code on the Roundtable site and the only listings near me were one brick and mortar and two order-by-mail dealers I know at least 6 totally legit shops they are missing A few years ago, I was looking for a specific coin and tried calling every authorized PCGS dealer per their website in the state and over half of them didn't even have a valid phone number This shouldn't be so hard Comment from : @jbohanon2 |

Another great video Coin dealers/brokers are in business to make money and in business in general the higher the risk the higher the profit Dealers however are usually not at risk because they're knowledgeable I have never sold a coin in my life but will be getting into that soon How I would approach it is to try to agree on a value based on grade, nuances and the information available on the coin, once that is established I would try to get between 60 - 70 of the retail which leaves more than enough room for the dealer to make a fair profit Humbly and Respectfully Comment from : @azadali4498 |
I would not have bought from you if I felt you are a rip off You have to be the most open person on how you run your business You ever get a Dentist that is having a bad day just before he does a Root Canal on you "RUN" Comment from : @dalestoner2928 |
Can't please everyone, you do the best you can You're doing fine! Comment from : @landonburke2772 |

Folks, out of all the posts Daniel has posted, to me this one is the most valuable Daniel, you added the most valuable information I've seen yet You add the "what-if" part that a lot of folks don't, myself included, think about There's more to coin collecting than trying to see if you're dealing with an "questionable" coin dealer Daniel, you can be a member of the Round Table, but to me, you belong to the golden table! Fair, truthful, and this is one of your b e s t postings yet And this from a guy from that SUN!! Very well done Comment from : @johnlarue2248 |
I like to walk into a shop and look stupid, which isn't hard I let my eyes go out of focus and let my mouth hang open a little, and pause before answering any question An ethical dealer would still give me a fair offer Comment from : @jeffw1267 |

My friend and I have been going to shops and coin shows for decades We know which tables to avoid at the shows because these dealers have a reputation for either overcharging or overgrading coins Our pet peeve is the haggling by dealers over ungraded “slider” coins - dealers that will charge a higher price for a coin that doesn’t fit the grade Comment from : @philkarkovice5337 |
I live in Cincinnati which is about 2 hours from your shop I will ONLY buy from you ! You have been honest and fair with me many times in the past Good luck in the future Comment from : @everettbradley3901 |

Daniel , when i tried to get my one gold 500 gold coin appraised i was only told the melt down value by a coin dealer he didnt give me the value of it being its actual worth of it and yes it was a MS one, And it was a fraction of the amount it was actual worth they go off melt down value not true coin value Comment from : @beckyt3150 |

If you act professionally and know your coins that reflects to the the LCS owner and thay will appreciate you more Just because a coin sells or is posted for a curtain amount doesn't always mean your particular coin has the same value Knowledge is king Comment from : @sidneybutler3902 |
