While the lanyard is a good way of opening the kickstand, I think it would make way more sense to have people with physical disabilities use the surface book rather than the surface tablets The reason being the laptop lids could be opened one handed with the lanyard, while the tablet version requires one hand to balance the tablet upright and another hand to pull the kickstand with the lanyard And the man in the video described using a fork to open a laptop, but he would still run into that same issue opening the surface tablet from a closed position I'm not convinced the lanyard would help him open the tablet model either because the tablets are heavier than a typical laptop lid In the video they had the woman open it so we didn't see if it helped him with the challenge he described Comment from : @aared |
