I've only ventured into a coin shop once recently after watching your videos and it was for a sale of some random ASEs I had sitting around I asked them what kind of gold they buy most frequently and the answer was both the 1 oz AGE and 1/10 oz AGE I was really surprised to hear the 1/10 over say the 1/4 or 1/2 oz I wondered if demographics play into it---what people buy regionally---or just that particular shop dealing with what people are bringing in to that ACS (Maybe that's the same thing) From what I gather from watching your posts, I can take a 1 oz AGE to any coin shop in the US and they will probably buy it, but maybe or maybe not a 1/10 if the shop doesn't have a market for itjust curious

Eagles are OK, but I buy more Kangaroos, Maples and Britannias Heaven forbid if we have to leave the US, a lot of countries force you to pay to bring in anything less than 9999 gold Eagles are desirable in the US but have read they're considerably less popular than other coins globally At the end of the day gold is gold

Is it worth it to keep track of the cost basis of gold/ silver if buying on at regular intervals and only thinking of long term holding? In uk most people just buy sovereigns Half and full sovereigns It was popular to mount a sovereign on a gold chain as a necklace or a bracelet The sovereign most common would be 1/4 ounce of gold I honestly have never seen gold eagles or the buffalo gold coins I’ve spent the last 50 plus years on and off looking at coins on my travels Gold is normally out of the reach of most people I recall Dubai airport though had a collection of gold coins and bars that previously I’d never seen before brSilver commemorative coins from royal mint are more common in uk 🇬🇧I have seen a few South African krugerrands but always small like the 10 ounce brI enjoy your presentation on the gold coins I love the look of those buffalo gold coins In uk I honestly think it would always be easier to buy sell trade 1/4 ounce coins rather than the larger ones you have That’s only my uneducated humble opinion Great videos Keep up the good work Thanks Greetings from Northern Ireland 👍

Maples are definitely first choice up here But I find most 24k coins sell equally well The 22k coins don’t sell as well for us including your eagles I do make exceptions thou for Sovereigns and Ducats Sovereigns are so well known around the world Usually no issues with those and ducats at 23k seem to have a niche as well Just my 2 cents
