Why do people buy 91 purity Eagle gold coins? I understand if they were cheaper based on gold purity, but you can get pure 999 gold for the same price It makes no sense to pay the same or more for lower quality gold Comment from : @NKMK7 |
In a war, if you have to barter, gold eagles aren't gonna get you nothing if you can't prove it's a real coin If you don't have a gold tester, you are screwed with your gold eagles The british mint are light years ahead with their security features on the Britannias With Britannias you don't have to spend $2,00000 to buy a machine to tell you that it's real gold Comment from : @angeloromano4870 |
Why do they say $50 if they are worth more than $50 each Comment from : @CelebritiesFromEarthTV |

I was checking some shops in Europe and it seems like the buy premium is pretty decent on Eaglesbetter than Britannias or Krugerrands even Maples were about the same as the Britannia and Krugerrand Buffalos were not being bought Comment from : @deanthroop8054 |
For me, an alternative to the American gold coins are the gold Maple Leaf I've always had good luck selling either of them back Comment from : @leomortimer2565 |

So what about the 1/10 ounce gold eagle coins? The price of just on coin is, almost, affordable to me Or are they no good for what we are talking about here? Comment from : @mdredheadguy1979 |
Why does 1 oz of 22 caret gold eagle cost more than a 24 caret Buffalo? Your getting better gold with the buffalos and their yellow color looks better Comment from : @rce2553 |

I'd like to educate myself on the matter: What is the average annual brincome in USD (before taxes) of someone who owns 50 to 100 oz of brfinegold? What would be the annual income of someone who owns around 400oz? Thank you Comment from : @followyourpassion8378 |
What a beautiful collection, thanks the informative video 2-1 Comment from : @Moon-magic109 |
Rolex explorer ? Comment from : @thomascrown |
no, unless your getting historical pieces with grading value you should pay as low as you can always for gold Gold unlike silver seems to have a lower premium buildup with time compared to silver pieces Most will sell for around melt on like ebay And at your coin guy, they start at 93 percent of melt That can go to like 95-96 if they like you Comment from : @silvertortoise3776 |
I will agree with your math, until you get up to 1/2 ounce coins the premium is outrageous I can buy 12 ASE for the premium on a 1/10 AGE Comment from : @erics786 |
Seems like a dealers market still And dealers will buy low as possible The spread is getting wider, especially on the secondary market Not to say you can't find deals out there but the deals are still higher than usual as you say Comment from : @CuSTACKS |
My local coin shop has a set $975 premium over spot for silver eagles regardless of spot so I’m with a bunch of others who are wanting the price of silver to go down I’m also getting ready to buy my first bit of gold in a few weeks Buffalos at my shop are about $75 higher than the eagles so I’m pretty sure I know my direction your videos are very helpful and informative thanx for the great content Comment from : @fredg9647 |
I remember when I bought an MS69 Gold Buffalo (1 oz) for $800 Comment from : @hansanderson6607 |
I always pay less about 50 less over spot i only pay 1500 an oz i been doing good Comment from : @rays3995 |
Other coins are the buy right now the eagles and bufs are WAY overpriced I've been getting gold Krugs for well over $100 a piece cheaper Comment from : @1969plato |

New stacker here, and after seeing my Scottsdale silver Omegas come in, I'm now strongly eyeing their 1oz Omega gold coin Premium is under 8 and the detail on the silver was exquisite Limited mintage in inaugural year Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah I'm doing it Comment from : @MrJswitz84 |
much more worth it than ASE's Comment from : @johnnnoise |
Great video Comment from : @johnfaruzzi5452 |

premiums are crazy across the board right now! who the heck keep buying? Comment from : @ThePlatinumBeast |
I haven't grabbed any Eagles because of the taxes up in canada beautiful coins though, great video Comment from : @ragtagstacking4119 |
Yeah I’m not buying eagles right now Especially not silver eagles Comment from : @jplifts3008 |
I was buy 1 ozT AGE at spot, till the new stimi money was thrown aroundbrMany people are desperate to invest in something, but most people don't know how to invest So rather than saving a firm foundation for their financial future oh, they're using what should be a foundation as an investment and they will take their $1,400 or they're $2,800 or more and buy gold and in 3 or 6 months they're desperately need money and they'll sell it at spot Comment from : @jamestartisel2527 |
I find it super interesting because I don’t recall you mentioning the gold Libertad’s (unless I missed it) I only say this because I was lucky enough to get my hands on a 1/2 oz 2020 gold Libertad They sold out on APMEX in less than an hour too Still not sure if I want to hold it, flip it, or grade it and flip it Lol Comment from : @PistolPackingPilot |
2 is 1 and 1 is none ! You and are alot alike 😁😂 let's see the other "stuff" ! What do you think about buying platinum eagles? Almost half the price do you see it as a good idea to purchase?? Love your content keep it up! Comment from : @paulaxton72 |
I got my first 1oz age yesterday for 1815 The last age I purchased was a 1/2oz pre-rona for 800 Comment from : @PyroDood |
Do you have an opinion on Emus? They’re the cheapest 1 oz gold coin at my local dealer (lowest premium) but I’ve never heard of them before Comment from : @sirrathersplendid4825 |
I think premiums are currently very high because we’re in a fairly volatile falling market Today’s spot of $1700 means they probably bought at $1800 They’re just covering their backs Comment from : @sirrathersplendid4825 |
I just saw a 1 ozt AGE with a premium of $150 Ridiculous! So when to premiums reflect the current low prices the dealers are buying now? Comment from : @drakesavory2019 |
Type 1 vs Type 2 people might say they like the previous version of the Ford Pickup but eventually the marketing and the image of the new version is all you see Type 1 will have its fans but it says “old” when we are oriented to new Comment from : @SilverHeist |
My wish for the redesign and it's not going to happen: Stop flipping vertical on the reverse so that the coin would display in common holders symmetrically instead of having to flip the holder Most world coins don't seem to follow this paradigm Comment from : @jeffsmith4110 |
Same here I was buying eagles when premiums were less but have shifted to other gold I have some cool unboxings coming 😁 Comment from : @silverbeancounter |
Eagles purity: 9167 vs Maples purity: 9999 Comment from : @dgalvao9023 |
If Precious Metals Buyers weren’t so fickle brWe may Level Out the Premium mess ?! 🤔 Comment from : @davemi00 |
physical silver only people Comment from : @marilynhughes94 |
I just bought 3 Maples for just under $1800 Eagles from that dealer were $100 more No hesitation even though all of my existing stack is AGEs CMI has Philharmonics for $1760 but they are not open again until Monday morning My selling is not going to happen this decade unless everything hits the fan 9:09 - 100 ounces! That is $175,000!! Wait, I can do that Just give me another ten years or so No more silver at these markups! Go for the gold! Comment from : @uncareid5557 |
I stack the Maple Leafs Easy to sell and they look amazing Add to that they are 9999 and it checks all the boxes for me Comment from : @spydude38 |
Three days ago 3/2/21 I bought a nice NGC slabbed MS63 1924 double eagle for $75 over spot from a local coin shop Even though gold has come down a little bit further, I’m still happy with it Due to high premiums on US gold coins I previously settled for the most part on French roosters, Swiss Helvetia’s, Sovereigns, Britannia’s, and some Mexican coins (still love the 20 Pesos with the Mayan calendar) I only had a few smaller US coins before, and most were either cleaned, damaged, or had been used in jewelry As a side benefit, I didn’t even know my state doesn’t charge sales tax on bullion and certain collectible coins So I saved a significant amount there too over buying from APMEX or another eBay dealer Comment from : @macfixer01 |
I liked your video I've been trying to understand the metal market for the past few months and I finally got an account open to transfer part of my IRA I feel like I'm doing it all wrong buying a lot at one time, whether gold or silver For a long term account to hedge against inflation, do you have any words of wisdom for me? If gold is too high, would silver be the better choice? Not sure what I am doing Comment from : @JaniceOstrow |
A very long term investment The bullion pimps made a killing Thank you for not telling us that gold and silver will zoom unlike the other you tube cheerleaders Comment from : @keysersoze503 |
Excellent video 👍 I have been on hold for a while being patient and accumulating fiat for the right time that makes sense to me As I stated a month back or so, the multi year cup and handle formation could see $1550 to $1600 If we hit that I’ll be a buyer but I’ll have to consider the premium situation Hoping you are well Thanks for sharing your research and thoughts 👍 Comment from : @Xylo58 |
You're in the trees rather than looking at the forest Because I'm a buy-and-hold guy, the so-called premiums are not material If the SHTF, easily recognizable, high-demand assets in my neighborhood will be the easiest to convert to whatever you want You're assuming I'll be selling back to a knowledgeable dealer rather than a local merchant who's not an expert Comment from : @kellerrobert80 |
$225 dollar premium for a Buffalo paying with a check/wire 😡 Comment from : @andresnajera2069 |
I bet you apmex will close shop early today before the market closes cause the big price drops Premiums threw the roof Comment from : @davidgonzales5094 |
I’m very impressed on how low the prices are but the premiums tho 😬😬 Comment from : @andresnajera2069 |
Not for me Silly Comment from : @bluedogfish2 |
cant find any deals but I wouldnt sell in a down market just go on the hunt for deals ! Comment from : @juicestacker1950 |
I hope that most (if not all) stackers would know by now, that American Gold Eagles and American Silver Eagles will always cost more than most other sovereign bullion to purchase, but the reason, as you pointed out in this video, is the advantage of liquidity Load up on cheaper foreign Gold and Silver coins, and you better be prepared to do a lot of leg work to liquidate them in a pinch Do yourselves a huge favor, and stick to the US government backed coins, and it will save you a huge headache in the future Buy American! Fantastic video Comment from : @victorfrankenstein50202 |
For buy back is this only in US ONLYdo u think you would get above spot on Britannia’s in the uk for instance? Comment from : @stevenporter1752 |
I just calculated the "Premium" (in relation to Spot) on the sale of one ounce, gold, 2021, Buffalo coins as listed by a major bullion dealer The Premium price was $23499 per coin over Spot That computes to a Premium percentage of about 139 percent over Spot! And that was a "Pre'Sale" dealbrbrSomehow, "BUYING ON THE DIPS" doesn"t seem to be the correct "focal point" for purchases of said Buffalo coins Comment from : @ronmccord2121 |
1 Question please - I’m trying to work out if it’s illegal to melt coins down why are they worth spot price - I understand gold nuggets??? Comment from : @nigell2475 |
Most online dealers will only give you spot when you sell Why pay more? Comment from : @dman3308 |
Im not finding any deals 200 over spot is insane for an age May as well buy a 1oz valcambi bar and 100 bucks worth of bitcoin Comment from : @hoofixrman |
Last month I purchased a 2012 Proof 1oz Eagle Very Nice Coin This month I could only afford a 2021 1 oz Britannia I roughly have a 50 split between Low mintage Proof and Bullion coins so I now have the Eagle in Proof and Bullion coins I want to get a Proof Buffalo as well now for the collection hobbybrWill the new Liberty Lady be bare breasted like the Libertad Angel on the new Eagle design and stop standing on the Alien's head Comment from : @amfearliathmor9747 |
Thoughts on BU 20 Franc Roosters? Comment from : @vcupiano |
It was only a few months ago you could get a £2 Sovereign 2020 for 35 premium here in the UK Now it is 55 Comment from : @amfearliathmor9747 |
Technically you should have said 'Throwing away ever increasingly debased Fiat Currency for real money' Comment from : @amfearliathmor9747 |
I make it a point to not rewatch YT videos because there are so many things I can learn instead, however I watch each on of your videos at least three times 3 is 1, 2 is get a life 🤣 Comment from : @rockchimneyfabrication9838 |
Bars, and coins my opinion only gold is gold in the end Comment from : @gregwilliams5820 |
Buffalo- best designbrMaple- best overall coinbrEagle- easiest to sell in US Comment from : @migooknamja |
Just picked up a 1oz AGE earlier today was about $1850 when spot was around $1700 not cheap My LCS didn’t have much 1oz gold besides the AGE Comment from : @dannykpopgold788 |
Simply the best Comment from : @vote4mr-house52 |
My LCS just raised his premiums on Buffalo and Eagles and I just can't get myself to pay that much premiumso I guess I will go online to get my gold Comment from : @thedadgenius2545 |
no Comment from : @swiftyfromthe3138 |
The other day I was looking for a 1/10 oz coin, I went with a Philharmonic because that was what was in stock and it was like 5-10 dollars cheaper than what eagles were going for I was feeling bad about buying when I did because spot went down, felt better when I saw everything was out of stock Comment from : @lukewilson3271 |
I've been really eyeballing those gold Maples recently Really nice looking and great price Comment from : @estarszak |
It’s very frustrating to see spot price just under $1700 yet premiums keep going up Really hurts with me wanting to pickup 1/4 oz gold eagles Looks like I’ll stick to 1 oz for now because while I’m ok with paying some premium, this is just absurd and disheartening! Comment from : @golddividends |
What cases are you using on these? Comment from : @KyleSector |
I’m finding 2021 1oz Gold maples for $1,780brI agree with you They make more sense than eagles right now, with their higher premiumbrBut on a brighter note, the same dealer will buy as many eagles you got for $100 over spot Comment from : @thecars570 |
👍 Comment from : @robertkeating1899 |
You are forgetting to factor in the sales tax Comment from : @lynn8456 |
