How did the Sienna and the Carnival get the same IIHS Safety score of 4, if the Sienna got ratings of Good, Moderate, and Good on the small overlap, moderate overlap, and side crash tests respectively and the Carnival got a Good, Moderate, and Average??? The Sienna also has a better headlight rating of Good vs the Carnival’s average With half a point of difference between 1st and 2nd place, this would have made a difference!

One thing on my top ten list of important things is overall appearance (inside and out) I think the Toyota should be docked majorly for being only Hybrid Having no gas option would make me run away from the Sienna Also, stow n go option should give a MASSIVE boost in value for any minivan Any minivan nowadays that can't have all rear seats removed or stowed into the floor is like a dinosaur I love my 2019 Pacifica and wouldn't trade it for any of the other 3 minivan options in this video BTW, the 360 degree camera view is a MUST for minivans! I LOVE having that in my Pacifica! It's such a valuable safety feature that it should raise the safety score for this van way more than shown in this video

I have had an opportunity to rent a 2025 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid for 2 weeks during our vacation last month I'm surprised how smooth and quiet it is The V6 36L combined with Hybrid and Plugin technology made this van a fast acceleration while keeping 32MPG in AVERAGE (Without plug-in, we didn't use it) My wife loves it, and so do I We have a Honda Odyssey minivan but the Pacifica is far better

I think all cars have inflated prices right now Even used ones The Pacifica has the best configuration of space but the quality, durability and resale value (let's not talk about the bad service) kill it Personally, I don't like the Sienna because of the hybrid only model and the price Honda needs to speak to Kia regarding design and technology and Kia needs help in the quality and durability department In other words, I have not been able to decide what to buy because of price and a lack of convenience, price and technology balance in one model I refuse to pay luxury SUV prices for a minivan and the SUVs don't have the space I need

I have to disagree with these gentlemen I have spent 20 yrs as a master tech 15 yrs at a dealership group with every car brand abd the ladt 5 i have ran a semi repair shop My wife lives Minuvans We have owned Toyotas and Hondas I would never recommend anyone to buy a Pacifica (Call your local dealership or do your research and you will find out why) Currently, Chrysler has a transmission issue (like at 50,000 to 65,000) they are exploding They are also on back order meaning they aren't even available Not to mention the electrical issues with rear entrainment staying on and draining your battery or turning on for no reason Kia isn't any better their engibes are junk (Yes They have tge 100k warranty) but they wont help when your engine goes out at 120k and they won't help you I have witness it time and tine again Hell i have had a customer who did all the maintenance on her 2018 Kia Sportage and at 98,000 mikes, it started burning 2 quarts of oil, Kia diened her claim because she wasnt tge orginal owner She purchased the 2018 in 2020 with 40,000 miles She did every recommended service, and Kua told her, since she is not the original owner tgen she has no warranty Trust me, stay away from Chrsler and Kia they look nice, but looks are deceiving

I looked at them all TheToyota is great, but could not bring myself to buy another CVT We had a 2016 Corolla and both my wife and I hated it We have an 09 Civic (manual trans) and an 09 Kia Spectra which we both prefer After several months of looking and debating, the Kia Carnival Hybrid was our top choice and we are not disappointed Right now it is averaging 348 mpg

I'm in the market, so we happened to have rented the Pacifica Hybrid for a few weeks while our other car was in the shop following an accident Holy crap, the Pacifica is a piece of junk! Engine is weak and sounds janky; dash instrumention is awful (hybrid is very different from non-hybrid, fyi, and the hybrid displays completely irrelevant information); there are 4(!) non-illuminated rotary knobs that all are co-located to control the transmission, air conditioning, radio, and volumewhat could possibly go wrong?; the FWD is really annoying in the snow last week since it keeps spinning one tire trying to get grip only to have the traction control system freak out; bad layout of buttons (hidden gas door button, obscured on/off switch, etc); really confusing and distracting radio and navi displays; and the materials used throughout generally feel cheap We were ready to buy one based on the reviewslession is to RENT your potential future car (Turo, rental agency, borrow from a friend, etc) before you make a purchase

Here in ontario canada, I pre-ordered a sienna xse awd back in April 2024 They told me it can be up to a two year wait We have time, but if needing something sooner, a sienna would not be it Availability is terrible, and if there is one available, the markups are at least 10k over Used ones here are the same price as new but have would almost have 30,000 kms on it For something that is in demand, i wish they would have more Also, toyota has now gave their 25 hybrid engine to mazda for their cx-50 Why not focus on their own Our second choice would be the Carnival EX Love the look, but worried about the reliability I know its a hit or miss
