I like the skeet better than the gold ring If I could have one or the other, I’d take the skeet over 2 gold rings It’s very charming and has a real presence The ring just seems less special Comment from : @rexmundi8154 |

I use Renaissance Wax for coins and other treasures same as the archaeologists use and use a small brush and thin layers with a small brush that you rub off the white residue from the wax and it works for me! Comment from : @deluxeviking |
Paraloid b72 for the brooch it's what conservators use and can be reversed no problem in acetone You can make your own or buy it pre made I'd go for 10 strength for the glossy look Comment from : @dl9320 |

Some stunning finds over the last few videos👌🏻 seeing you look up the history of what you find is as great as what you find, as others have said I also use Arteseal you can get different strengths and also a bottle to reverse what you’ve used, leaves a nice coat on which brings out the best of your find and protects Comment from : @ImSpartacus74AD |

Congratulations on the Saxon coin! What a beauty! For the brooch I found an article by the Worthing Theater and Museum that says that their conservationists coat cleaned enamel brooches "in a conservation lacquer containing benzotriazole BTA is a chemical which arrests and guards against corrosion in copper, protecting the object long term from the environmental causes of corrosion" There's a company called Museum Services Corporation that sells it in a powder form that dilutes in water I hope this helps! Comment from : @micah06v8 |
I found a very similar coin a few years back , a walking bird and a quadruped on the reverse , in beautiful condition, your coin is a real cracker , brilliant finds Alexander 👍👍 Comment from : @grahamoutterside7163 |
For the brooch, look into a product called Paraloid B72 It is a resin suspended in acetone, as the acetone evaporates it leaves the resin behind It is used to stabilise fossils among other things I have used it in restoration to stabilise very brittle paintwork and rotted wood but also use it on detecting finds I prefer the 5 solution Ones above that can leave things looking a bit shiney Comment from : @AdamBland-f1j |
👍✌🍀 Comment from : @stephanbiela8150 |

On your Umbonate Roman broachjust use beeswax to give it that non-desiccated, slightly moist look that brings out all the subtle colours, You can, in fact, safely do the same on your Roman bronze coins to bring out the detail and protect against atmospheric corrosion Comment from : |

Wow, stunning finds and a great filmthe brooch is a beauty, I use the arteseal product to give my finds a wee pop, the 10 mix gives a good satin/natural finish without it looking glossy, I have also used a cheap hairspray aswell which will gives the same result but not sure how is it is to removelooking forward to the next film , best of luck👍 Comment from : @bordersearcher2548 |

Alex, apply a light coat of aerosol acrylic clear lacquer, let it dry and apply subsequent light coats until you achieve your desired finish I have some items I lacquered back in the early 80's that still look brilliant Just be sure to remove any corrosion prior to spraying, and it's a good idea to practice on some old buckles to perfect your spraying technique Good luck Comment from : @stubailey100 |
