I bought all of the 1999 to 2008 thinking I would make a fortune at the end of the series Man did I get burned Just about at the end of the series the price plummeted Same way with the 2004 up nickels after that I stopped buying from the mint I'm sitting on a lot of nickels I've a bunch of buffaloes I been thinking about opening to see if I have a spear buffalo

in the last couple of years I have just TOTALLY stayed away from the US mint for anything they just charge way to much with a few exceptions none of the modern coins will ever appreciate to any more than face You will never make the mark up plus the shipping charges A dealer told me a few years ago he quit buying anything after 1964 If you can't get them from the bank or in your change don't pay these premiums just to fill a spot in a coin book Good Video

Yep mint sets and proof sets can be gotten cheap in the last decade or so Some dealers are offering 50 cents above face value

I will give you thousands over their true value if you have some slick snake oil salesman to sell them on HSN I will throw my money at the screen if you gold plate them particularly those very rare state’s quarter dollars in that wonderful 24 carat gold
