Anyway the 5D is not really a "professional" camera anymore It has well and truly entered the realm of the consumer camera Look how many are sold and how many professional photographers are there out there? Pros might use them but this camera is mostly purchased by hobbyists and enthusiasts

Flip out screen would be handy for landscape - manual focus using live view, especially doing low-angle shots Better than a right angle finder because you can zoom in to do critical manual focus I'd like to see it as a feature on higher-end cameras

it wont do raw on hdmi out, so , i will probably go with D800, canon once again didnt complete the task, why, what is the deal , SONY is helping NIkon with Video, and Canon is gonna hurt and bad, if i was just shooting stills i wouldnt mind it one bit, but since i do booth, sorry, gotta change over, thanks for the canon memories

@fortgreene31 The 1DX is a pro PHOTOGRAPHER camera, it is not really *necessarily* better than the 5D mkIII in terms of video quality The 5D mkIII is probably better due to moire reduction, that as far as I know, the 1DX does not have The 1DX is only better because of the extensive weather sealing and high shutter speed The 5D mkIII is also quite good in terms of high ISO (low-light performance)

Now, many beginners & college education people can buy this camera and get better images than most pros using aps cameras Canon screws the pros 600 flash won't do radio flash with your outdated EX flashes WFT won't work on your old cameras They knew that they can't survive selling it to the few That's why the 5D Mark III was craved out from left over of the 5D Mark II

@RJHokieGaming Thanks! Anyways yes I understood So the APS-C sensor is like a cutter so if you have a wide-angle lens like an 18mm you won't get that large image you are supposed to right? You will get about 23 mm so if you want to get the full imagage you need the full-frame sensor thanks for explaination

nokia just introduced a smartphone with a 41mp cameracanon is it really that hard to put something around 30mp into your camera or are you waiting til photokina this year in cologne? you did everything right with the new 24-70 and i AM going to buy one but $3500 for one more megapixel and the af system of the 1Dx is really overpriced!! the only reason for me NOT to jump over to nikon is because i already spent a few thound dollars for lenses -- i hope you read this!!!!

@setsallset If you're talking about in video, HEEEEEEECK NO! This camera's ISO goes up a lot higher than your t2i/t3i! Plus, the full frame sensor means that 1080p video looks STINKING GORGEOUS!
