I"m very old school, and am happy to stick with my 20D, 7D Mk II, 1DX Mk III, and even my old 300D, the OG DSLR I bought back in 2003 I've got some reasonably good glass, with the 70-200 f/4 on my wish list to get before end-of-year (subtle hints dropped to my wife regarding Christmas), and maybe a good 500mm some day I know that mirrorless is the wave of the future, and I have nothing against it, but my gear is perfectly good for my needs and I don't see the need to make the move Comment from : @adude394

Love my r6 shoot weddings and portraits with it I thought the low megapixels would hurt me, but I honestly cant even tell the difference! Your comments on the 6D MkII were a little disheartening I bought mine late 2018 along with the Tokina 17-35, Tamron 35-150, and Tamron 150-600 G2 I've taken great photos with this setup but do find it lacking compared to the mirrorless shift in the industry brbr2 weeks ago I purchased all new: Canon 24-70 28L II, 70-200 28L III, and 100-400 45L II First off, the lenses have breathed new life into my 6D2 but I felt I would go the extra step and picked up a new R6 after much research There are things that really bug me about the R6 and I'm not crazy about the low battery life, crappy EVF, overheating, poor codecs, and ridiculous procedure to switch from photo to video The more I research, the more it's apparent that Canon purposely kneecaps their cameras to walk you up the ladder of more and more expensive cameras brbrTo be honest, part of me wants to return all this stuff and keep my current setup or invest in another system Just feeling a little frustrated Comment from : @lecat5300

Your review on the 2000 or under eos r is way off man well kinda I have a pocket 6k and eos r the eos r is a amazing camera for a or b just have to spend a little more money for a good setup for it I shoot it in 4k with a metabones speed booster so I have pretty much no crop and I can use pretty much any lense for apsc or full frame on it which is amazing and you get the extra stops of light which you can’t get with any full frame Sony or other canon full frame camera also I run the ninja v so you run 10 bit and better low light with the ninja v and the auto focus is top tier low light is amazing and for photography I really think it competes with every top end canon camera tbh dynamic range isn’t as high as the r5 but it’s not bad at all and it’s small and light and compact only thing you don’t get with this camera is 60 frames 4k and 120 4k but I’m not a big slow motion shooter and also I have the pocket 6k for slow mo if I need it and I almost forgot you get apple prores with the ninja v and we all know it’s about the editing process and the eos r has the easiest editing process out of all those top camera it’s extremely smooth to edit Comment from : @juggernot1556

Tbh this is now very old school I guess but the best stills camera from Canon under $1000 is a used 5D Mark iii brbrYou can find em for $650 or so and they are feature packed The biggest downside is that the dynamic range on the censor is worse than a lot of its contemporaries, but that hasn’t stopped many professionals from getting incredible shots out of it for 10 years now It’s a gem and an absolute workhorse Comment from : @Counz223
