A couple of things brbr1 Not everything you buy should be thought of an investment, so of course a car will depreciatebr2 Believe it or not some cars today are probably good investments, but they are not cheap So say a Honda S2000, or any other discontinued car that car enthusiasts want (not your boring SUV)br3 You should probably spend no more than 1/2 your yearly salary on a new car or about 10 of your monthly income for a new carbr4 If you cannot afford to buy the car new, DO NOT buy it used as maintenance is beyond your means (that means no used BMW or Audi)br5 Just because you have kids does not mean you need a big SUV

It's not cars per se, but corrupt government, violent dangerous cops who want to shoot you (basically all law enforcement), mandatory insurance requirements (insurance companies never cover or pay, just increase your rates and you have to legally let them rob you), mechanics who ruin your cars, bad roads that destroy your car
