If buying silver or gold eagles from one of the big online retailers (JM Bullion, APMEX, SD Bullion, MONEX,etc), what are the chances that they will sell you fakes?

I just received my order from APMEX of 5, 1 oz Buffalo Silver Rounds today and I believe they are fake 1) HM is minted just below the Indian's chin 2) When I flip the coins vertically the Buffalo image will be upside down instead of right side up which is another red flag 3) The coins say it's 999 Fine Silver instead of 999 Fine Sliver 4) The coin is loose and wiggles around in the 39mm air-tite case 5) When doing the "ping" test they don't ring nearly as long as my other silver coins I have not weighed them on a scale or anything, but so far I believe these are fake Thanks for the informative video btw

How can it be that the weight is hard to fake? If it's too light, add a little more metal If it's too heavy, use less Maybe we need to understand more about how they're made to understand why On the Engelhard bar, does it pass a specific gravity test?

Do you ask to open the cases in the store ? I AM NOT SHY, BUT WOULD THAT BE NORMAL ETIQUETTE??? I would not want to be blacklisted at a local and reputable shop, because I had a little doubt Kinda facing that right now, think the coins are ok but not so sure they know what they are doing in a couple of pawn shops I worried if they would buy some fake silver from me?

They sell a lot of fake stuff out there sure sux! That Engelhard is a great fake if it is Fake!? Can you Specific Gravity test it to see what metal it is! It sure does sound different! But the weight it really close! Is it the exact size as other bars??? Something has to be off here! There's got to be a way to figure this out! Interesting for sure! Ish ;) Burnie
