My math teacher is making hate math even more, she even came to school with a shaving machine Comment from : @Anujin-yb5xq |
I don't think so sir because when a student joins a class it's an understood agreement that one is the deliverer and other is the recipient and student except very advanced levels doesn't require to think too much deeper because of time constraints and experience of all necessary research related information and techniques A concept in any given field might have thousands hours research time and variety of brains work and sometimes even concepts can't be understood easily within alloted period time in the classroom Regards Comment from : @knowledgeckr786 |
Yes n no Most of the time there and no optionsbrbrOverall bad advice Comment from : @tjnj2256 |
Thats all well and good until stidents realize that no one is going to enforce any rules, ever They quickly learn they can do whatever they want with no consequence Oh and by the way, students also know that they will pass the class without having to do any work Comment from : @leamartin5672 |
What if the entire class refuse to follow the rules? Comment from : @강경화-j8s |
Nahhh man, sometimes you give them two, three, four choices and they wont choose any of them, if they dont want to work they wont do it Comment from : @JhonELT |
The devil's logic; for the sociopath workers left in education Comment from : @yosra3551 |
This was my approach to all students and I provided incentives that were tailored to each student Worked every single time Never had to send one student to the principals office in 15 years Classroom management skills are critical in managing levels of emotion in the classroom If you create an inviting, fun, friendly environment rarely will you have an issue Consistency and patterns are very important brbrMy statement is excluding students who have diagnosed behavioral IEP's: however I never had to send any students with known behavioral issues to the office either Communicating with the parents is key Comment from : @CatalinaFOIA |
This modern-day teaching advice is idiotic I am from America, but I am glad I don't teach in a Western country Comment from : @ZimBrain |
Yeah 😂 made complete sense , basically this is the world choose- isn’t that what the role of a dad is?? 😂 I didn’t get this at all Comment from : @4172vijay |
For me getting less attention is a win lol That way i can slack off They brought it upon themselves so I don't feel bad for them Comment from : @tarikchadili9696 |
What happens when the student refuses to do any work and talks to whoever he likes in the class instead? He was around the class and answers back? Comment from : @Va8iastin8alassa |
"You make the rules" "They make their own decisions" Seems contradictory Comment from : @Franky-zc3xx |
Today, schools seem to be recreational and entertainment centers, trying to do the impossible to get students to fulfill their assignments Teachers are neglectfully tolerating and correcting bad behaviors, failing to realise that's not the true role of an educator or instructorbrStudents' personalities are shaped by various factors, including their upbringing and environment, which can sometimes lead to maladjustment Unfortunately, the classroom can mirror and reinforce detrimental societal attitudes and behaviors Comment from : @mikelarrieta1 |
So cleverly Comment from : @sharareshokoofar |
2 choices, they either do the work or fail They need to understand there are consequences for not putting in the time and work Comment from : @3DEditor |
I teach 4 year olds I only give them choices THEY CHOOSE what kind of consequence they get Comment from : @rebeccalowe-hodges8162 |
I don't agreeSchools are for learning These students who don't listen disturb the class and create chaos I was a student too you know and I haaated it when my tracher spent the class time disciplining the childor the opposite the child disturbing us A lot of kids go to school to learn, believe it or not NOT to witness an out of control spoiled child throwing tantrums when things don't go their way Giving options should be at home :You either go to school and respect everyone's time OR stay home and watch TV and be a useless human being! Comment from : @nomoralsnolife |
This is only produce 'beta' students Comment from : @MegatSriRama |
You’re right The student always wins in such power struggles Comment from : @jeannedigennaro6484 |
Classroom management is a born skill- it’s hard to teach or learn I will say it’s archived when kids fear but respect a teacher, feel respected by & like the teacher (most of the time)brbrI once worked with a brand new, first year Teacher (she was in Teach for America) in a very inner NYC school She was one of the best I ever saw & Right off she had management of the room & was better at it than people w years experience Comment from : @KwazyKupkakes |
Have you ever taught in the USA 😂 Comment from : @fraxtured |
Well framed, Eric! Comment from : @boni-estherenquist4827 |
Gambate Comment from : @AdnanDanipagieh-gl8hh |
Rules should also be culturally- fit to students and to the culture of the school Comment from : @javabistro |
Bad students are the products of bad teachers before Teachers tend to be more relaxed in implementing house rules At the start of the class, house rules and policies must be presented in details, the what and what not So students would perpetuate to practice said rules towards the end of the term Comment from : @javabistro |
Well this advice is obvious but doesn't actually chance the fact or the behaviour the child would simply choose option b not listening than what? I think the person inquiring was meaning this Your response is either cut short or only states the obvious with no feasible result Comment from : @wharnisbet |
Times have changed Back in my day, there was one choice The teacher's instruction because an inevitable whooping was eminent at anytime at home or in school Now kids feel like they lawyers, parents think their children are saints and society doesn't care what roles they play Comment from : @kingzklein1342 |
Would this apply to pre-school or Kindergarten aged kids as well? Comment from : @FatherofMan25 |

This is what happens when you fill the schools with leftwing liberal teachers brTake away teachers ability to punish or discipline and take away the right from parents to punish and discipline there own kids Comment from : @skate-life9858 |

Hey there I think this question isnt related to this video but i think you understood psychology and may be helpful Sir i am very bad at handling pressure and i want help witb that If i am standing infront of a elder person(principal or teacher) and he's insulting me i am literally shaking I am not saying that its not my fault its my fault sometimes and sometimes its not but still i should not be trembling When i am standing at a shop thats exposed to many peope i dont know what to do and there as well my inner self is shaking Once i was on the ground talking to a student after assembly (I am a patrol) and the assembly went back to their clases The pricipal was watching me and literally i was shaking and sweating (in winter around 15C) Comment from : @AbdulAhad103a8 |
Ima send this to my bad teacher Thanks bro! Comment from : @aliplayzstuff2532 |

The thing is that around 90 of what is being taught to kids in public schools they will never even use for the rest of their lives Kids do, however, like to learn things Teach them useful things that actually are interesting and helpful to their lives The problem can be traced back to when the precursor to the Board of Education was created and the financiers who pushed it into action Rockefeller is the main one His quote of "I don't want a nation of thinkers I want a nation of workers" should be enough to see what I'm getting at Comment from : @brianallison1913 |
I have a lot to learn ❤ Comment from : @williamcosta7583 |

They just refuse every option from you Comment from : @atlevel1002 |

That student probably finds the tasks too hard to complete and this is why they deny Thank you for this video Eric Students always need both options and rules, not just rules Comment from : @martha_ntakou |
This is not applicable to all… What if the student is disruptive and loud You can’t just leave him that way because it his choice😢 Comment from : @knowtheworld39 |
Example: a pupil refuses to change his seat after being disruptive, and ignoring the first warningbrWhat to do?! Let him have this choice of staying? You’ll lose leadership Comment from : @إقرأباسمربكالذيخلق-ذ5ي |

Yep, today I asked a student if he wanted to speak on front of the class like the rest did for an activity He refused I said, "ok, I can't force you to do anything you don't want" and left it at that It's his choice, but it will come out of his participation grade Comment from : @pault9544 |
haven't seen valuable content in a whike ran into your channel great tips, very clearthank you Comment from : @JuliaChernaya-fl4tl |
Yeah because it's our job to raise them, not their parents A student who THINKS they have some kind of choice in what they will and won't do at school has parents who have made them think that brbrWhen I was going to school I had to do whatever work my teachers put in front of me! Whether or not I "liked" the work It wasn't about my feelings, it was about my education And through that I learned that life isn't always a bed of roses and sometimes you have to do something because it must be done and it will benefit you (and/or others) in the long run brbrIf my parents found out I refused to do perfectly reasonable school work, they'd be repercussions for me! But that's not how it is anymore brbrI've had to use that choice tactic before, but we shouldn't have to and it doesn't always work Especially with kids who's parents act like their child is an angel My teachers never needed to use such methods on me But I was born in the 1900s Comment from : @matshadi1999 |
This makes sense! Thank you! Comment from : @mariaregina3290 |
