I am amazed that the issues we had back in the nineties across many platforms, including Java desktop applications are still plaguing developers and designers to this day You can learn CSS all you want but none of that will matter as long as there is no consensus on how your work is generated by the end user application This should have been normalized decades ago

Great video I was a css guru about the of css 20 I dropped out and returned recently as a hobbyist The advances such as functions and variables (recently new to me) are fantabulous If I tutored a css beginner I would be a broken record repeating to mantras I have learned #1 'always embrace the fact that it's nature is the cascade (If you don't need it in your larger parents don't institute it Wait till you need it and avoid escaping unwanted cascade later #2 Always remember that 'content is king' - don't let clients or bosses bully you into 'eye candy minutia' KISS baby, kept it simple Keep it clean and use the cascade to your advantage not your head ache ;)
