I started studying Latin because next year it will be a subject in high school, it's a very beautiful language to learn It's not as hard as you think The only hard thing is the grammar, it's very complicated at first But after some practising, it will actually be very easy

I studied Latin in Italian schools and later in English schools It is hard to master, especially in Italian syllabus For your info, I was top of the class in English as an italian speaking student because my grammar was impeccable

3:43 I used to think those who had English as a mother tongue are lucky but now I understand that I'm lucky with native Ukrainian which also have genders and declension, and Latin genders are much easier and more logic to pick up in most of cases 😂😂 I only don't like Latin Ablativus, as in my language it doesn't exist and we have two separate declensions for the two functions of it, and one the function is absent in Ukrainian, we just use phrases to describe it With almost natural understanding of grammar and a lot of vocabulary both from Ukrainian and English which derived from Latin, it is still pretty simple to learn, except for one problem wich is my laziness 😂

The grammar is very different from English and modern Romance languages, so there might be a bit of learning curve there, but it's not really difficult if you put the time in Most importantly, and perhaps surprisingly, there are a LOT of resources for learning Latin Not much opportunity to practice speaking it, for obvious reasons, but one can easily learn to read it Reading ancient and medieval works in Latin, some of which aren't translated, is rewarding

The problem with Latin is the correct pronunciation, the Romans had two kinds of Latin: (vulgar and classic) and the latin used today comes from the Catholic Church and it’s the one everyone knows and study and it’s called: (ecclesiastical Latin) with the pronunciation of some letters same as Italian So is not the same as the latin spoken by the RomansbrSpanish, Italian, French, Portuguese and the several other languages spoken in Spain today came from the Vulgar LatinbrSo for native speakers of Spanish the Vulgar Latin is very easy to learn it and pronounce it properly, Latin sounds weird when an English native speaker try to speak Latin, it doesn’t sound right but surely impresses the other ones who doesn’t knowbrYou see some silly gringos making videos bragging about speaking Latin but their pronunciation is not right
